C'mon Internet, there's enough information in that call that we can either track Samantha down or make this thing go viral so she sees it. Get to it!

I would first ask, by what authority are human rights given? By what merit? Life itself is a privilege that many do not get to enjoy, let alone freedom, and access to fresh water and food. Internet? Not even close to the same category as these.

So what exactly is it that makes a Sidekick a Sidekick? If it's being made by Samsung, running Android, and has a slide-out keyboard...isn't that just an Android phone?

@Imnotu: Even when they essentially jack-in to the armor so that their minds can direct its movement? Seems like a cyborg to me.

How about the Spartans from the Halo universe? They're chemically, biologically, and genetically enhanced for the specific purpose of interfacing with and using the Mjolnir armor. I'd say that counts.

@cicadymn: Damn, I had no idea about Thorium. Looked it up on Wikipedia and I'm sold. Thanks for spreading the knowledge.

Grand ideas, but more than anything else, I'd like to know how we're supposed to pay for all of this. We're drowning in debt right now. And he wants to spend more? How about some fiscal responsibility instead.

Obviously fake. Audio is ripped right from the first game. Seems like a good composite job, but that's it.

With all the PSP/PS3 hacks that have come around, I wouldn't be at all surprised if PSP2 is hacked and running emulators within a few months.

@dragonfliet: True, I compared Enslaved to BG&E, but not in a critical sense. More like in a market position sense. But I understand what you're saying.

@dragonfliet: I didn't care too much for the ending either, so I'll give you that. But comparing Enslaved (or any game) to another game is a little unfair, IMO.

I was thinking about this game the other day, and I came to the realization that Enslaved is this generation's Beyond Good & Evil. Beautiful and fun game, marred by a few technical glitches and poor marketing that keep it from reaching the masses it should. I'm looking forward to playing it again.

@Steffen Larsen: Yeah, I'd say the absence of a subject for meditation counts as a subject. Though I tend to think of that kind of meditation as less beneficial than others. Specifically, I'm an advocate of meditating on a specific topic in order to better understand and internalize it. Whereas the "clear your

@leoaugust: Except as a reference to Han Solo's assertion that the Millennium Falcon made the Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs.

@Steffen Larsen: Meditation at its most basic is simply practiced mental focus on a particular subject over a period of time. Your preferred brand of meditation may have peacefulness and elevated consciousness as a result/goal, but I'd argue that's because of your focus, rather than the meditation itself.

@CyberSlug Labs: I'd like to see some evidence of that (just for my own reference, not that I have any reason to disbelieve you), but if that were so, those people didn't have to sign any contracts that they didn't want to. He was, at the very least, persuasive enough to convince a lot of people to invent things for

@phoghat: The "meditation program centered on building non-judgmental recognition of one's own feelings and sensations" would seem to indicate that the meditation was directed, rather than free-form. This, to me at least, suggests that the focus of the meditation is the more important element. Although the act of

If the guy looks skinny, it's probably more to do with being in his 60s and losing muscle mass due to age than anything else.

This kind of reminds me of the Mass Effect universe, actually.

Whenever a short film like this gets made - especially if it's based on an established, once popular IP - I wonder if it's not one of the major studios trying to gauge interest in reviving the franchise.
