@Human1: I'd like an option to tone down language in some games as well. Oftentimes it doesn't bother me, but occasionally it's entirely gratuitous and annoying.

I've been a fan of Windows 7 since the beta showed me just how seriously MS was once again taking the OS. I didn't hate Vista, but to me it seemed more like a "we have to get something new out there now!" effort than a serious improvement over XP.

I'm one of those people that don't care about how things look. I seem to be surrounded by those who do though. Good tip!

@Guard: Not at all, just thinking a straight swap would be especially easy on a 2008 model. The part that's eluding me is why you would add a second drive rather than a perform a straight swap.

I don't really understand - why would you not just swap out the HDD for an SSD and leave the optical in place? On the 2008 MBP it'd be especially easy, as the hard drive is accessible when you take off the battery door.

@Cassius!: Well, in the short term, they actually are friends of gamers, by providing lower prices. It's only in the long-term (very, very long-term, I'd say) that they wind up being detrimental to the industry.

Was that Fat City? Their Laser Tag was awesome the last time I was there.

I've been playing STO since open beta and really enjoyed it. I've taken a few weeks off here and there for other stuff, but it's still fun when I come back to it. I still haven't maxed out my character either, preferring to take my time. I think it's the people who rushed through it that didn't enjoy it as much as

@Ilva: I did the same thing, probably thanks to the same article, but I'm having problems figuring out how to redirect the domain to the Flavors page. Did you hand that part off to the registrar or find the IP for yourself?

@Ilva: Did you pay the $20 a year to do that? If not, please share how!

@matttrick: After looking around a bit, I'm thinking maybe I'll just use my Dropbox to host a simple page. Sounds like it'd be pretty easy, I'm just not certain about how to re-direct my domain to the site.

I went and purchased [realname].com and planned on redirecting it to a [Flavors.me] page, but apparently you have to pay $20 a year to [Flavors.me] just for the honor of using a domain you already own. Not cool.

@nutbastard: According to this diet I'm on, heavy cream doesn't count as bad. Sorry, should have been more clear.

Anyone know of a way to make your own ice cream with a sugar substitute like Truvia or another sweetener? Trying to keep the calories down, and some ice cream would be a nice treat.

Thing looks tasty, and there's certainly no way it's the worst possible fast food item out there. If only I had a KFC nearby....

@ExtraTeresticle: Absolutely correct. And while it may not be good for you, I would be shocked if any other fast food could be considered "good", save perhaps Subway.

@sereal: While I think no one should rest on the laurels of their previous successes, there comes a time I think when the "only as good as your last game" thing isn't true anymore.

Maybe I'm just biased because I worked at GameStop for a while, but the Game Crazy's that used to be around were terrible. Awful customer service, facilities that looked like they hadn't seen even a vacuum in ages...I felt dirty and reviled just walking into the building.
