The thing about one hit wonders, as opposed to songs from bands or artists with long established careers, is that they're basically intrinsically intertwined with the time period where they came out, because that's really more memorable than the actual person/persons who sung them.
Unless you're missing an ear or two.

No joking, the only thing I remember about the movie Go is that Steal My Sunshine was on the soundtrack.
I dislike "Major Tom" mainly because I find it so inferior to "Space Oddity" and "Ashes to Ashes" that I somehow think it attempts to taint those songs legacies.
I thought that too.
It was Nacho Varga's tribute to Edie Falco.
