This is true. I mentioned that coffee stouts are easy to rationalize as breakfast items. But also, I feel like a Velvet Merlin (Firestone Walker) or Oatis (Ninkasi) "could be" awesome for breakfast. I say "could be" because I've "never had them for breakfast." "Really."

If you like pot roasts and have most of a day, this is a great recipe that uses a stout (it just says dark beer, but whatever) and tastes really freaking good, plus it's easy but will impress anyone you're dining with. And I don't think it mentions this in the recipe, but cut the meat into ~1-2…

You left out "breakfast beer". Nothing like a good stout to get your Saturday morning started when you've walked into the pub at 6:15 because kick off is at 6:30

I love stout! I was drinking River Horse Oatmeal Milk Stout last night. Like coffee, it's easy to rationalize this as a morning "eye-opener" when OATMEAL is in the name! Breakfast in a bottle:
