I thought when an appellate court upholds a ruling it merely means that the original ruling stays. The date of the execution would still need to be set and carried out.

No, it said it was confirmed Monday. No mention was made if it was carried out.

The US govt is worth -13 Tn, the country is worth more because the govt doesn't own everything due to things like private ownership.

Could be worse. AT&T throttles my unlimited iPhone data plan for all of my data usage, unlike Virgin who starts after the first 2.5 GB.

Looks very cool, but unfortunately too few buttons to be useful for serious gaming.

I have 2 WNDR3700 routers. One upstairs and one downstairs and sometimes that's not enough to facilitate communication between, say, my Slingbox upstairs and my PC downstairs. I've tried 3 variants of the powerline stuff and they've all been extremely unreliable. So far I've found using MoCa to physically connect

Considering it can take 2 decades to design and manufacture a new generation of fighter it would make sense that they worry about this now if it appears that Russia or China is 2 decades off from our current fighter generation. The goal is to stay one generation ahead, not be even across generations. Now, whether or

This kind of calculation is misleading because the original intent was to make a lot more than 187 planes. The Obama administration decided to reduce the production number then kill the project.

First, military projects lead to technological expansion because they can pursue goals that the private sector would never be able to fund.

I'd hope to see the return of the Raptor. This pushes the bounds of current technology (tech does trickle down folks), competes with the toys that China is trying to push out, and - most importantly - provided a good solid source of middle class jobs. Shutting down programs like this destroys a lot of good jobs.

That's an earwig.

Yeah, I don't see how stealing from the 99% and giving it to charity actually hurts the 1%. Way to go idiots. These grouped jumped the shark a long time ago.

Yeah, I was thinking that it was the same. Just some pointers that somehow lined stuff up. This picture makes a world of difference and now I'm truly impressed!

Here's the problem with that logic. Person A goes running into the gun free zone and shoots someone. Person B, C, D go and shoot person A. Person E, who wasn't quite paying attention doesn't know whom shot whom and goes after B, C, D. Persons F+ are all down the hall and run into the room to help and see Persons B-E

The law defines the norm for a particular society. Hence something like murder may be acceptable in one society, yet not another. One could argue that because of this, "decency" should not be defined by legalities because regardless of the law, murdering one another isn't the "right" thing to do.

How long did you wait before resetting it? Mine showed the empty status bar for a good 5 min or so before it started updating. You should have probably left it alone. Best way to update your phone: get it started, go watch 1 TV show (2 if skipping commercials) so you don't think about the update and be tempted to do

Human decency isn't defined by the law. If one truly hold this stance, they fail.

Let me guess. You're probably not living in one of the highly radioactive "safe" areas?

How about defining it as supporting LTE?

As an AT&T "customer" (ugh), it being on Sprint is of no interest to me. Siri is really cool, but I don't think it'll be very practical IRL - especially in crowded environments or after the novelty wears off. I like the hardware bump and storage bump to 64 GB, but that's not enough to get me to spend my upgrade
