@octasquid: I'm still curious, though. If you feel so inclined, please message me, or find me on Twitter at this username, and we'll discuss it further.

@octasquid: And that's bad because...?

I know I can be abrasive sometimes, but I don't take anything that is said here personally, and I don't want anyone to take what I say personally. I enjoy a lively, spirited, civilized discussion about the merits of competing gadgets. I use everything I learn from the articles and comments here when I go shopping

@LessthanZach: "Lock, stock, and barrel" just means "everything." When I say I bought my phone "lock, stock, and barrel," I mean I own it completely.

Ah, there's nothing like waking up to the sound of birds smacking into your windows.

@LessthanZach: If you really are interested, though, what I said about my phone is absolutely correct. I purchased it "lock, stock, and barrel" (have you never heard that expression before?) and no CEO is going to tell me what I can and can't install on it. That's why I carry a Droid.

@LessthanZach: Look, I misunderstood the original quote I replied to and blamed Apple when they didn't deserve it (this time, anyway.) Just forget it.

"why is there no Skype app for iPhone that supports video chat?"

@Celtic1888: I guess so, but CR does much more in-depth testing than most websites, and CR buys everything they test, so the manufacturers have no influence.

@ekap: If you enjoy the freedom of choice; being able to choose your form factor, your UI skin, your carrier, and so on, Android is the way to go. The software and hardware itself is every bit as polished and capable as iOS and the iP4. They both have rough spots, but consider this: in the first 6 months I had my

@The Professor: You know, aside from the reality that Apple pushed out a flawed product and then lied about it to customers, Gizmodo has every right to pissed off at Jobs, et al. They gave Apple a lot of free advertising, and how were they thanked? Apple broke the law by influencing officers on a special police

@Celtic1888: That's not true at all. Why do you think that?

His wife was 15?

@Metkis: The one I'm using, typically.

That's exactly what they would say.
