Should we be worried by the absence of any mention of Metroid Prime?

Here’s my question - if the world is as big as they are saying, what are the odds that I run into another player without intention? I’m assuming there has to be a way to track and regroup, but my hope is that in the moments I want to play solo that I can turn that off and have it be purely circumstantial.
