I don’t think that would do NEARLY as much for dealing with this country’s violence problem as gun control would though. It is estimated that the number of mass shooters with mental illnesses lines up w the number of people in the country w mental illnesses, making it essentially a non-factor.
Not a single Jezebel article on Dylann Roof used the mental illness excuse. I think the Germanwings pilot case was more complicated — it infuriated me when people conflated that with people who commit suicide and don’t, you know, take a whole bunch of people down with them, but it wasn’t like, a clear hate crime…

Whenever guys start patronizing me, I just call them “sweetie” while correcting their b.s. They get really angry and flustered but usually shut up/go away.
Men have definitely done to that to me. I have had men put so many things I’ve said in air-quotes or tell me my statistics are made up and then I pull out my phone and show them I got my stats from NIH or the CDC and my “made-up” terminology comes from the UN.
Oh, he’s now in Switzerland, so not at all a problem. And believe me the “I’m a psychopath basically” apology did nothing to make me wanna take him back.

I’m in English, so there is no way writing happens that fast. But that is impressive, and I do find drinks can help.
I mean, I’m Jewish, and horrified, but also fascinated. I would LOVE to know why/how these people come to exist. I am also a person with morbid fascinations — a guy who’d been a huge dick to me recently told me he’s boderline/on the sociopathy spectrum, and my BFF and my reaction is “fascinating!”
