You had me until "SyFy"

The crazy thing is that the hardline anti-vaxers aren't even talking about the mercury (which is gone anyway) in MMR anymore, and most of the soft anti-vaxers (the parents who heard somewhere that vaccines are bad for their kids) don't even know why they believe that. Yet the "movement" marches on.

Yes, but not enough apparently. It's going to have to be an epidemic scale, bodies in the streets scenario, because none of these people have a sense of the scale of the risk and have no concept of thousands of people a year, many children, dying of preventable diseases.

Lol. So did I. I like Mur, and I love Norm Sherman, but EP has been a lot less...well fun, since he left.

This is ridiculous. People are going to have to start dying before this whole Anti-vax thing gets shoved back into the dark hole from whence it came again. Unbelievable.

It was pretty much impossible to top the original. Coulton is hilarious, but that much expectation would crush anyone.

They pulled it from the market in 1992. Something about using radium to get that special shade of green.

Also, did they link it to elapsed time since last orgasm?

"...may one day be as good as Charmed."

I can't tell if he's serious about this or not.

A M.A.N.T.I.S. reboot before a Manimal rebbot? The universe cannot be so cruel.

Yeah, but by your definition and mimicing that analysis I can take any SF story and break it down to a historical parallel. It's almost like you're arguing the SF as a genre doesn't exist.

ROFL! This is even more hilarious than the original article.

See my post down below where I explain to someone else how its all a joke. Still gives me half a boner though.

Shirtless volleyball. Thats's the bar.

I'm pretty sure the entire thing is a joke. I mean, if you took it seriously there's more than a few glaring errors in his analysis not the least of which is several instances of confusing gender identity issues with sexual identity issues and his somehow correlating SM gear with homosexuality.

"Using post-freudian dialectical analysis, it becomes clear that the 1987 action film ‘Predator' is an allegory for the gay male struggle to accept a differing sexual identity than is appropriate in a dominant hetero-normative cultural system."

Oh! It's interesting that there are actual articles on that. You hear people talk about the lack of Asian characters in Firefly in fandom circles all the time but I've never heard anyone talk about the lack of Hispanic characters in the Buffyverse. Thanks for the links.

@12.

I have never head SF defined as such. I've always thought that SF was that you take a Scientific breakthrough/s and then extrapolate to it logical extreme and examine how that affects the telling of a story. In Firefly that breakthrough would be interplanetary travel and the ability to terraform a planet up to an
