The implication being that comedy is inherently a lower form of art than drama.

CoM had ambiance. The story is so-so, but those long shots are what really sold it. Some people appreciate that kind of thing some people don't. No big.

Cause no one is actually thinking of Terminator. They're thinking of T2 & TSCC.

I was thinking Takeshi Kitano or Cary Tagawa.

Its just seems odd to have two white guys named Tetsuo and Kenda. But I suppose if they change the names, the fans will riot. The only way to not lose is to not play.

Right. I can tell that you've actually read At the Mountains of Madness. A story set in mythical fantasy world of Antarctica.

I'd think they be too busy running the Masons and the Illuminati to worry about such minutiae.

Slash the budget to $25 and make it R and it would be good and definitely make money. I hate the blockbuster mentality. Why did Mountains of Madness need a 1/2 billion dollars when there are filmakers spinning gold out of a few thouand dollars?

In the Dark sounds suspiciously like Ghostfacers. Why not just make Ghostfacers? Anyway I don't see it getting made because it'd be essentially admitting that Ghost Hunters is a steaming load.

Jenji Kohan would have interested me too even I hadn't recently listened to a public radio interview of her where she comes off as a complete douche. Plus Weeds stopped being a comedy a while ago.

Realistic in what context? Just about all the dinos in the film are modified for cinematic appeal. It may as well have been a movie about dragons.

Looks like Big Dog's Grandpappy.

...Jensen said that he now worked for the CIA and had an office in Oakland

That's like a meta-reference. Well played sir, well played.

Will the pain ever fade?

I think its all in how its done. There are whole episodes or Community that are 30 minute long references, but they're clever and done well. Contrast that with something like No Ordinary Family where one character has to make constant references to maintain her geek cred, but comes off like nails on chalkboard. Big

It's Zack Snyder. At least with Nolan there was some precedent, but Snyder talking about making a realistic Superman, is like Nic Cage starring in a remake of Ikuru.

yeah, but that watered down SF, not watered down Urban Fantasy. Totally different genre.

LOL! I'm not going to lie; I could get into that.

Rule 34. Its not bad in a non-geek-girlfriend-buys-cheap-superhero-costume-for-your-birthday way. Its just awful as an actual Wonder Woman costume though.
