IMHO it’s pretty wild to assume that Tesla’s, or even EVs in general, are bought by MAGA folks. I’d argue that those generally on the far-right are anti-EV.
So will VinFast be the new Tesla on this site? =)
Let me preface this by saying I hate Tesla/Elon but...
Station tank fill access should be elevated.
Yeah, I was speaking more in terms of “average” so there’s going to be people who behave the opposite. Plus, I’m not basing this on anything other than reasoning (i.e., no data) so my conjecture could just be off. In particular, if you’re the sort of driver who will take a 20-30 minute break after 2.5 - 3 hours of…
I got rid of my land line over a decade ago, because I never used it, having a cell always nearby.
Bingo, this is why Tesla is at the top of the list for being the most driven of all the EV’s. For all the stupid that Elon is responsible for, the one thing he has nailed is that it’s worth it to blindly throw money at charging network. It’s magnitudes better than the public infrastructure, and the sales/usage show…
Like an ER doctor friend of mine will say: “all bleeding stops, eventually”.
We have had our Model 3 for a year. Checks app... 30k miles.
I do 43 miles each way and 25 of the 43 is at 80mph. Start the trip at 80% and get home at 40%. You’ll be fine. In the winter it gets down to high 20s here. Still have plenty left when I get home.
Anyone can land a plane one time!
Nah, where most people live and drive there are plenty of chargers. Lots of shopping centers have chargers and if you have a garage, you have one there. Most modern electric cars charge quickly. You just prefer the FUD. I drove Sacramento to Twin Falls Idaho with no issue. I stopped to charge, hit the bathroom and…
It’s 100% possible in current EV’s. Your nonsense rules about charge is the problem. Why put a weird 50% limit on battery charge?
...or require satellite radio in every car, and the government requires some sort of free access be provided.
I’m 41. Number of times I’ve turned on AM radio… three. Times I did so on purpose: zero. AM Emergency Broadcasts don’t matter if no one listens to ancient single channel audio tech. I have never heard an AM Emergency Broadcast. Might as well mandate Sunny Skies so we can communicate with smoke signals.
“Elder, tell us again about the Before Times.”
My understanding is that it wouldn’t apply to used vehicles. I imagine they figure that market forces will eventually work away the remaining ICE vehicles on the roads.
Ostensibly I’m 100% with California here. Someone needs to fucking lead the way because even though we’ve already passed *A* tipping point, there’s a clear and obvious benefit to making sure things don’t get WORSE at the current or previous rate.
I’ll take the low-hanging fruit and nominate the Toyota bZ4X. The fact that I had to look up how to spell the “name” of this model pretty much says it all.
