LOL. See?! I did the math wrong - I forgot to carry a 1 when I was converting from dolphins to bananas. This is why we need standards!

I think the 40 second delayed response from the termination command is the biggest deal of all of this debacle. That’s a long time to be unresponsive and the FAA isn’t going to just shrug it off the way Musk has.
My buddy with twin 12-year old boys recently introduced them and his 16 year old daughter to The Office, watching the entire series over a few months. He said his boys have begun responding to nearly every comment with “That’s what she said”. Good to see 12 years old’s have not changed a bit since I was one 30+ years…
Best car you can get is a Chevy Bolt if you need a new car for a low price. Yes production is ending so order now if you can.
How ironic, when Bob Lutz said in an interview that GM should have made the Prius but didn’t. (I read this many, many years ago, but he essentially said that they squandered their lead with the EV1 and he wished they had built the Prius before Toyota did.) They had like ... 2 or 3 other chances, and screwed them all…
Video tapes were over $100 also. People rented movies for decades because they couldn’t afford to own them.
When developing Cruze J300 in the early 00s, the plan was to release an electric version even back then. Detroit cooled on the idea.
Exactly. People seem to forget a VCR would cost $1500 40 years ago, and that’s the actual money 40 years ago and not inflation adjusted to today.
They’re just too ugly for me, and that’s the conundrum lol (not like Tesla’s looks much better to me besides the Model S). I just want a cheap coupe as an EV =(
Hmm, yeah, I see no mention of the “partial premium interior” and audio system differences that used to be listed as the SR RWD’s option on the order page. It certainly would be plenty for me, I commute in a Mini Cooper SE right now, and that only needs charging once a week.
Lithium iron phosphate does have some pros. It trades some energy density for a much more stable and long-lasting chemistry, and is far less prone to thermal runaway.
This is the answer, why bother with the LR, when you can get the Performance for just a little more, but really the RWD would fit 95% of peoples needs while being 7k cheaper.
A good set of winter tires will solve this problem. Electric cars also have a low center of gravity & great weight distribution which helps a lot on snow/ice. It’ll be much better than a typical RWD ICE car in the winter.
Good luck finding one. They're stopping production at the end of this year. Chevy is willfully killing their cheapest offering because it simply doesn't have the margin of more expensive cars. The new cheapest car will be the Equinox which will likely be at least 5k more than where the Bolt started.
That was my first question when seeing the “Coming Soon” signs along the Thruway — how on earth were opening hours not a part of the requirements to bid on the concession?
This list is invalid. Luxury vehicles like the Tesla Model S, Mercedes EQS and the Lucid Air beat the pants off of all of these when it comes to mileage/efficiency.
Yes!
Companies will set prices to maximize profits — that’s just how the world works.
...still waiting on my meth...
My thrust game relies heavily on earth gravity. I cannot imagine anything more demoralizing then trying to rock her world just to watch her drift away across the cabin.
