In places less “politically charged”, they’re able to get larger green infrastructure projects through. Like in Australia where they have been removing fossil fuel sources and running off batteries during times of low production.
That’s been me for 65 of my last 96 electric bills! Usually $14/mo, but due to frequent EV charging I sometimes can’t get by in the air conditioner season or the dead of winter. Average over the last 96 electric bills has been $33/mo, covers both my house and car. Though we got a second electric car now so I’m…
Per the U.S. Energy Information Administration:
When an EV owner connects to the electric grid, how much are they paying for the extra generation, transmission, and distribution costs that they are imposing on the grid, and will those embedded costs rise over time?
So like this Jeep Wrangler chirping the tires isn’t normal for off-roading? I feel like I hear tire chirping in almost every steep incline off-roading video I’ve ever seen
It is already a highly sought after vehicle, even if you personally don’t like it. I don’t like the Toyota Camry or the Ford F-150, yet they are both highly sought after.
The embedded Twitter video in the post I think you replied to, here it is again, is the non-CGI video of somebody walking past one in the HQ. I would have to guess that Tesla would build it, but it could be any number of suppliers really, even themselves since it would be relatively low volume.

Notice how the only person talking about Elon is you. I didn’t mention him at all and he’s not really even involved in this project. The author only mentioned him in the title as clickbait, but since he’s not involved, even the author didn’t have a reason to mention him in the body of the article.
It moved 100,000 people at CES this year which was a pretty good launch
Not just that, but the Tesla connector is physically smaller and easier to use. You can operate NACS with two fingers, where CCS Type 1 or Type 2 often requires both hands to plug in securely enough to make a connection. And it works for level 1, 2, and 3 instead of having to have a separate cord for level 1 and 2…
Also C) work with any vendor who supports NACS. Tesla isn’t the only company who does NACS, they just invented it. For example ChargePoint is currently in development of making NACS charging stations, and I think EA and EVGo have announced they are also going to do that.
It could be as simple as they were trying it with traction control turned on versus turned off. Tire chirping is perfectly normal when off roading
Is it much worse than getting hit by the front of other modern day pickups?
Maybe because normal tire squealing is drowned out by the vroom vroom noises so the author doesn’t know that’s normal.
The electric bus in the works, here’s the prototype:
Conveniently, the vehicles can just be swapped out when the replacement is ready, as easy as just driving a different vehicle into circulation. This was the prototype image early on:
