If news rooms are unionized, they should strike just so that we get a day where Trump has no one to cover him.

Politics I suppose. Still that’s the sort of justification being used by the GOP right now. It’s frustrating.

Yeah that’d be the one. That was the House then.

So sort of like Waspinator winning the Beast War.

Yeah I was referring to recently where McConnell revised it even further. Schumer calling him out on the hypocrisy and whatnot.

Yeah wasn’t the last real filibuster one meant for convincing votes on an immigration revision last year?

Good old Mitch, making the rules and enforcing what he wants since 2015.

So when the Republicans voted on repeal/ replace the ACA they were able to ditch the Filibuster for that vote. What’s stopping a Democrat-majority Senate from doing the same on high priority votes and keeping the filibuster in place so that a future GOP controlled Senate cannot undo any progressive policies?

Okay so question here. Recently Cocaine Mitch has been removing the filibuster on certain votes - putting in judges and whatnot. Is this permanent or can a lame duck Congress before term ends re-instate the filibuster?

Pretty sure they support Bernie more than anyone still.

They’re campaigning on the idea that the GOP lost the majority I think, candidates in general that is. Plus it’s easier to gain traction with ideals then it is realities. It’s not like she can say “Look we’re still gonna lose the GOP. Let’s just say that if you vote for me I’ll Veto the shit out of anything

So wait, getting rid of the filibuster doesn’t even require the filibuster vote?

While we’re at it let’s get rid of this ruling where Mitch can just say “Well one person opposes this vote so NOT HAPPENING” at just about anything.

Yeah fund them! Which is admittedly my biggest concern about a medicare expansion. It needs funding and I’m just not seeing the Republicans doing that.

Check what dentists do in your area? My current dentist is fine with installment payments so long as something gets paid per month.

Gotcha. I’m currently working for a single employer and I’m the sole employee so in the states I cannot even get dental right now.

I’m currently a single employee for a company in the US, just a boss and me. He’s not offering me dental insurance for dumb reasons, however through the health insurance he IS providing it would cost me roughly $7 a paycheck. It’s...not the greatest unless you expect to have a lot of work needed that year.

Yeah I wouldn’t want Medicare in its current form offered to everyone, it’s not nearly enough considering the system is already taxed on what it can actually pay out on. The system needs more funding and the scope needs to be more beneficial.

Does Canadian health insurance companies not provide a dental insurance option?

Hah! By 6 months hopefully we’ll be able to see what the Season Pass content will be like too.
