The judges will allow it.

Can’t watch the trailer rn, but about that title: considering Ford’s age, I’m amazed they didn’t call it “Indiana Jones and dial-up of destiny”

I very disagree with the concept that the world isn’t fun to explore. There are hidden secrets everywhere and I had a ton of fun doing so.

It was probably like: “Management wants us to make skins for these esports teams, so put their names and team colors in the game. I don’t care if it looks stupid. This is what the bosses want.”

It’s amazed at how developers for these kinds of games seem to ignore just how much their core players are willing to min-max every possible aspect of the game, just to squeeze any possible advantage they can.

Let’s be fair with Nintendo here, Nintendo has nothing to do with Development, Overseeing, Updating or Fixing if the patch notes are vague its not on them aaaaany Pokemon game they have zero power over them, that is solely on Gamefreak and the owners of the franchise the Pokemon Company both of which are independent

However, and very importantly, there is a little paragraph at the end, that at long last sees Nintendo recognizing that the state of the game is not OK.

Do you... not know who John Walker is? I agree with OP that the comment is weird but that’s a far cry from him being a “blogger who doesn’t know what journalism is”. Deranged commentary, seriously.

I would reckon, based on what I’ve seen in my own experiences (which have been largely gamebreaker bug free admittedly), that most of the issue is streaming textures and LOD. And apparently animations? Makes me wonder how tf are GameFreak implementing their animation system such that a couple dozen models *at most*

I have not experienced this AT ALL! I have played hours a day since it came out and other then the visual stuff, like pop in and slow framerates for NPCs in the distance, I have had a perfectly fine experience. Everytime I read about peoples horrible game breaking bugs I just don’t know what they are talking about. I

it’s kinda weird that you throw around “Nintendo” like they are the developers of the software or the people who would communicate via patch notes.

It’s not an assessment of the possibility, just a recognition of the practical reality. It happens, more often than not, that big changes are handled with large updates.

Kotaku is staffed by bloggers. They don’t even fully understand how journalism works. I wouldn’t expect them to be knowledgeable about game development.

Yeah that confused me. I don't think they fully understand how things work lol.

Beyond this, it simply says that, “Other select bug fixes have been made.” Given the patch is only 1GB, it can’t be an enormous number.

It would be a monopoly if Apple was the only choice for consumers for a smartphone. It isn’t even the market leader.

One wonders how stupid the ideas people at the big tech companies are.

I really think the pandemic put a huge dent in Nintendo’s plans to do a proper Switch Pro and it would address many of the largest criticisms against the platform. At this point it’s probably more likely a “Switch 2" will exist before the much rumored Switch Pro will.

The shitty thing is that when even Nintendo exclusives run like crap on the Switch
