I’m sad there are only two episodes left

It's either the holy ghost or angel dust.

Edibles at the church bake sale is probably the only thing that would get me to church voluntarily so really these women were doing the Lord’s work and should be rewarded for helping to expand His flock.

Just hearing the name Amos Definitely” always reminds me that there’s some good in the world.

To quote the great poet/bard of Brooklyn, Amos Definitely, AKA Mos Def: “If I’m still Mr. Nigga I won’t find it surprising.”

“He’s reaching for his bootstraps! I think he’s gonna pull out a knife!”

Her given name is: Onika Tanya Maraj. So I guess it is a play on her last name...although I’m no aficianado of Ms. Minaj/Miraj...just an assumption on my part.

Is the “minaj” in Nicki an allusion to menage a trois? Am I the only person just realizing that? I thought Minaj was her real last name.

When will white people address the culture of white-on-white violence?

Just because she was around the violence don’t mean she was getting work done. Doubt she would have been photobombing him if she was doing actual dirt.

Quick tip, Tom – She’s from Derry. She grew up surrounded by scarier fuckers than your ex! You’re seriously out of your league…

Girl, this being cross posted at Jez is ridiculous. All of these non-Black people with the most basic comments. I can’t even believe this mess.

Yes. It’s a complicated issue that has to be talked about with care not only with casting but it manifests in all industries. I have absolutely seen how white people perk up when they realize that I’m Jamaican by blood vs being African American.

“Nikki Minaj’s fight with Cari B, whose given names are Nicole Menagerie and Cardigan Brownshire (Yes, I gave them those names)...”

I stopped paying attention to Luvvie about two years ago when she stepped in mess. No idea what this new stuff is about, but this is a complicated issue and there should be questions for casting directors who seem to prefer Black English actors.

“They don’t cost as much. Unless you’re an unknown brother that they’re finding somewhere. They think they’re better trained, for some reason, than we are because they’re classically trained. I don’t know what the love affair is with all that,

And I think ALOT of it has to do with her friendship with Luvvie and that whole mess that went down a couple of weeks ago. She retweeted support for Luvvie and she’s been lumped into the category of Africans who do not care about Black Americans.

Exactly. I can’t just name my restaurant “Pizza” and expect to keep everyone else from using the word “Pizza” in their name or advertising because their pizza place would be confused with mine.

The Candy crush saga game developers tried to trademark the word Saga and eventually dropped it because everyone called them assholes for doing it. Trademark laws are pretty weird and often kept intentionally vague.

I feel like there ought to be a category of names that are just off limits for trademark due to their ubiquitous nature. Companies and restaurants that choose to use them do so assuming the risk that they may be confused with another business that chooses to use the name as well, with no legal recourse.
