You’re just being intentionally obtuse. It’s biologically impossible that you can both write literately and not sort this analogy out.

Yes
We’re talking components - an SSD is a part of a computer, a tire is a part of a car. A tire is a tire is a tire, it’s going to do tire things all the time, whether it’s on a race car or a beater Civic. You don’t drive a tire, but you can’t drive without a tire.
False equivalency?
... or changes with no performance change.
It’s not the same engine. It’s... look, it reads as though you’re implying that they’ve effectively been making content updates to Morrowind for coming on three decades. If that’s actually what you think is happening, then A) you’re incorrect and B) I really don’t know what to tell you that a quick google search…
I think the real answer is they need to stop using the same archaic engine. engine design is completely different under the hood compared to what it was in Morrowind 20 years ago. The fact that they keep slapping new paint on a dilapidated engine is somewhat frustrating.
Alright, Bethesda, we get it, you miss Firefly.
Is this satire? This must be satire. Kotaku complaining about a lack of nuance? You got me, you guys. You’re good! This was a funny joke!
Ugh. I’m not reflexively anti-blockchain but that just sounds bad. Like, really bad.
Exactly! Which is why it’s so diabolical that they’re twisting the very alphabet itself to do their bidding! What’s next, a list of popular video game mascots that starts with Valve’s very own Arty the Acrobatic Aardvark? Have they no shame??
Well isn’t that convenient.
Good point. I’m not familiar with the specifics - how is payment for charging structured? Do properties that have charging stations earn anything for the actual charging? Are they reimbursed for simply having the charging station on their premises? Or is it just another item for their websites’ “amenities” list?
Anyone else do the math and figure out that if you spend a few minutes a day doing the free Microsoft Rewards question thing you can effectively get PC game pass for free?
I don’t think that the issue was that they couldn’t sell a game for less on a competing storefront, I think that the issue was that they couldn’t sell Steam Keys to redeem the game on Steam for less on another storefront, and they couldn’t include Steam integration if they sold the game for less without Steam keys on…
The forced delisting on top of the inability to side-load means that legitimate and complete stand-alone games half a de-facto limited lifespan on any Apple device. That sucks, and it is absolutely anti-consumer and anti-small dev.
What the what? Look, I don’t mean to alarm you, but I think your inner conspiracy theorist might be impersonating your inner cynic.
My read on this is that there are two factors at play. First is about duration, and the second is about consistency.
Honestly, you might want to stay ignorant on this one.
Good on them. It’s nice to see companies putting their money where their mouth is and actually enacting policies that promote a more diverse workforce.
