The issue with male representation has nothing to do with physical stereotypes. Using that as a justification for the continued exploitation of women is disingenuous at best and dangerous at worst. The problem with male stereotypes in media is in the inherent disposability of men and lack of a sense of self-value.

What SteamOS does that couldn't just have been implemented into the Steam client itself: streamlined OS with no extraneous stuff, no cost to the consumer and no external oversight.

The lighting is indeed baked in ... by the sun. While this is a great example of a very comprehensive scan, it's nothing that would be particularly revolutionary in a video game. If it's not a point cloud then it's just showing detailed geometry data with very high resolution textures. There's nothing wrong with

That's what makes it clever. You're killing thousands of "people," but they're not really people. Even in a game they're dehumanized and the violence is sanitized. Then you're put in a moment where you face a little more of the "reality" - still gamified, of course - of violence and are made uncomfortable.

That's mostly false. Premiums aren't skyrocketing by any stretch of the imagination and the only plans that are being cancelled are those that do not meet the standards set by the ACA. If you look into the numbers a little bit it becomes clear that most people are paying less and a few people are paying more.

A provision in the ACA says that the only way they are permitted to attempt to recover the fees is through garnishing money that you would have received on a tax return. They have no legal authority to confiscate assets and men with guns will never be involved.

No, Spec Ops is fine. Honestly, 19B4 hit the nail on the head - as an Infantryman I just plain can't play ARMA.

Again, I don't see the problem you have here. People may be unwilling to adapt their usage, but why should they? If you have disposable income and a need (or want, in this case) and there is someone to fill it, why not utilize that product?

I wonder if you're unable to imagine that other people have different home set ups or are just trying to be negative for its own sake.

I see it as more a way to get a buy-in from current PC gamers than a way to entice casual players looking for simplicity. I know that my first thought was, "cool, I like what they're doing... but so few games I like playing work on my Linux box. Do I really need a Steam Machine that's similarly limited?" This
