The thing is, you don't. Unless you're a dictator trying to ride out a popular uprising, that is. Dartz is trying to appeal to that small portion of the ultra-rich who are absolutely, completely crazy and believe somebody's out to kill them. That, and criminals and dictators.

There used to be one of those Kias floating around with M-B badges when I lived in Wisconsin. It didn't fool anyone, especially not the crowd that cares what car you're driving.

This is the best rendering I've ever seen, period.

That's the spirit. It may not be a "real" Jeep, but it's sure a whole lot more interesting than the Compass and Patriot ever were. Maybe it'll draw significant enough sales to make the next Wrangler truly badass.

Whoever came up with this for Pepsi is an evil genius. It's not often that a company is genuinely smart and funny when they're called out on their bullshit.

I definitely prefer earlier albums, but AM is still a solid record.

I was working at the time, and had just checked into Jalopnik for a brief read of the current headlines. I knew that eventually somebody who had more time would do the math (they did), but I still wanted to contribute in some way by encouraging to do so.

Somebody eventually has to do the math and figure out how long this is expected to take.

I think it looks too tame, actually. The 12C looked derivative at first, but I came around to it. The P1 is and always has been a good looker, and a very unique design.

Risky click of the day...

This wouldn't have really been noteworthy or controversial at all had they kept the tweet, but now it's a controversy because they deleted it. I wonder who thought it would be a good idea for PR to delete the tweet and apologize for it, now that Huffington Post and Tumblr probably have every intention of having a

What is that on the far left (and the car to its right)? I can't make it out from here.

And I thought that parking on the playground was bad...

Unfortunately, it'd never sell to the target market here unless they put an automatic in it.

I'm almost completely sure that there was a Brabus version of the old Viano, if that fills the need for you.

I think this is one of the rare cases when showing the price tag would work in their favor, though. The vast majority of the viewing audience thinks they've watched an ad for a $150,000 car, and many of those who can actually afford the Ghibli think that they can't at this point.

The price of the car isn't the problem, it's the solution. Compared to what most people think of Maserati, it's cheap.

If you're going to go for cheap, you might as well just give up completely and go for the Biturbo. There's quite a few rotting in junkyards in the vicinity of Chicago, and there was a rusty example that some college kid used to drive when I lived in Green Bay.

I wasn't saying that displaying the price would be tacky; it should've been in the original ad. I was saying that the actual overnight editing job done to the commercial to add the price would be hasty and might look out of place.

The price confusion even existed on Jalopnik's comments last night. I wouldn't be surprised if a shortened version of the ad had a tacky little price blurb added at the end.
