This is a pretty fascinating write-up. I’ve been to Vietnam several times, and one thing that constantly struck me was how friendly, open, and accommodating the people were. Sometime that accommodation jumped over into more of a desire to impress and dump only the most premium experiences on me. Every luxury resort

I don’t understand why everyone tries to minimize Toyota’s achievement here in the comments.  The key to longevity is buying a Toyota. Everything else is secondary.

That is really the crux of it. The people who had their car seized because of a roach, or tickets, or speeding, etc have committed a crime, no matter how minor. However, simply being a citizen of an unfavored country is not a crime in and of itself. It is not a crime to simply be Russian, and we shouldn’t criminalize

What do you do when SCOTUS says they’ve been improperly seized and the Russian oligarchs are due their stuff back in pristine order, or money in lieu thereof? And if you think that would never happen, then you haven’t checked the makeup or ideology of the current bench lately. At least if we’re keeping them in order

I am continually amazed that somehow people think they have the right to a car that can go 200mph on public roads.

My Compass governs out at 117mph or so.

Good Lord, I’m going to praise GM...

You lost me at 22mpg in a PHEV. Pathetic.

I’m sure the margins aren’t huge, but the higher trim levels are probably good and you’re getting young people into the brand.

My wife’s Dad bought a new but 2021 Toyota Avalon a few weeks ago with a $12k discount.

a level 2 charger is NOT required for EVs, hell a 12 amp charger is not required (my level 1 bolt charger has two modes 12 amp and 8 amp and I use the 8 amp because I don’t trust the wiring in my old ass house. 8 amp gets my 4 miles of range per hour which for overnight charging is more than fine. 12 amp gets 8 miles

IDK if I’m alone on this, but I would like EV cars to look like regular cars. Why does an EV need to look ~different~?

Toyota still makes the best cars and trucks out there though. They’ll be fine.

I did, I love it and still use it today. I have a 2014 Buick LaCrosse that is not equipped with CarPlay or Android Auto, but it does have Bluetooth media streaming.

The Car Things allows me to leave my phone in my pocket and maintain all of the same controls for Spotify on the little screen that lives in the CD slot. I

It’s all about replacement - so long as he fathers children at a greater rate than they disown him, he is ahead

Since Blockchain has an infinite number of use cases beyond crypto you might want to rethink its impending death.”

You just didn’t read the article.

Spotted one today without the cladding and a GS front bumper.

1st Gear: I’ve been saying that exact thing for years. It seems to me that some idiots in the USA think Tesla is somehow ‘foreign’ while still believing that Stellantis products are still ‘domestic’.
