Bold of you to assume her name is Savannah, and not Savana (YouTube subtitles are notoriously bad).

If you let the cops in, you’re basically giving them consent to search. There’s flavors and variations in laws. But one trick police will do is they will say, “Mind if I come in to talk?” and they’ll lean forward and angle their body as though it’s a foregone conclusion that you will let them in. That’s a sure sign

I am a recently retired professional investor, and my firm managed several billion dollars in ESG funds.

Where I live speed is the killer. Then follows drunk, then follows no seatbelts. Somewhere in all of that is running stoplights and illegal lane changes.

There’s always civil suits. If the evidence is enough to convict someone criminally, it’s more than enough for a civil judgment.

I bought a 2013 with the "shit" 4 banger and 4 speed auto.  I wanted a Caravan, wife wanted a Journey so we got that - she was going to be the one driving it after all.  Not one warranty claim since then.  Is it great? No but I didn't buy it expecting it to be great.  My wife wanted something with some height and she

Even more insane is the price of used cars these days.

Exactly. This and the Grand Caravan were fine. This was ok if you didn’t need something as big as a minivan or you needed AWD.

Don’t poor shame people. We all know why people bought this. It was always dramatically cheaper than any other 7 seater. And with the insane markup on anything new these days, a leftover 2019 Journey is probably 30% to 50% cheaper than anything else on the lot.

Pffftttt! Sounds more commonsense than blowing $10K or so over sticker for a Toyota.

I feel like they are ok for their intended audience. Yeah, a car blog is always gonna shit on them. BFD. I always like Roger Ebert, because he could review The Maltese Falcon for what it was trying to be and he could review American Pie for what it was trying to be. He didn’t compare or try to mix the two.

We should also acknowledge the much maligned Journey was an absolute home run for Chrysler/FCA.

I bought one in 2016 and I am still waiting for it to be this horrible car that people say it will be. It was a V6 Crossroad for 20,400 out the door and also had 0% financing, why wouldn’t I buy it? It currently has 78,000 miles and has never been back to the dealer one time for any repairs other than maintenance.

A tale as old as time:

The real problem here are precious metal costs. You’re heading down a path where these extremely heavy (Lucid Air, Hummer EV, Rivian R1T) vehicles require monster battery packs to have useful range, and you’re filling these battery packs with precious metals that have ever-increasing prices due to rarity.

Your point resonates, but I’d rather drive a loaded Accord than be like the late 20's jagoff who just had his first six figure year and leased an A3 or Q3.

Maybe it’s the resurrected ghost of Elio Motors.

Ah yes, those wholesome, God-fearing American companies would never— What’s that? Henry Ford published 4 volumes called “The International Jew: The World’s Problem”? And Hitler had Ford’s portrait in his office? And Ford Germany gave Hitler 35,000 marks as a little 50th birthday present in 1939? Oops. Oh there’s

Oh, yeah, did this on my 95 XJ a couple years back, in a UP winter where we got more than 200 inches of snow, and the unheated garage was usually -10 °F or less.
