I'm a member of a large facebook group. Sometimes someone will post something to the group's page, then 40-50 comments will ensue. I'd like being able to tag an individual in order to let them know I've responded to THEIR comment, not the original post.

Then...I guess it's a design flaw, and you should purchase one with more adequate cables.

I don't own a self-contained booster kit. Do they have a power switch, or are they hot all the time? Because the simple answer to your last question might be that you simply don't turn it on until you've hooked it up.

All it takes is hydrogen gas trapped inside the battery and a spark. If your battery is ever overcharged, there's a chance H was released. Since there're plenty of corners in which a lighter-than-air gas could be trapped, it's probably still there.

I think that's called roll-starting, actually. And yes, it only practically applies to manual transmission cars.

That image makes me think of a Dark Side post. Those two lights at the top look like the disembodied eyes LH puts on the DS images.

That looks remarkably like the outside of a swivel-top USB drive.

You know, I've heard that before. But I still put stuff in my pockets. And I always will. Pockets are for those of us who don't want to carry a bag around with us.

Ok, then, now I have to try it in spaghetti sauce.

I think they crossed in cyberspace. :) great minds...

I will do that. However, regarding delta's guarantee: peh. Read the Terms/Conditions just now. It's a joke. Not worth the pixels it was displayed on. Certainly not what the name implies, or perhaps what I inferred.

Many sites have low fare alerts. That would be a good first step. I also used to have a program that would check web sites for changes. If a flight search was coded into the URL, it might have been able to monitor it.

I think there was a Low Fare Guarantee on the Delta tickets I bought recently, but I'm not sure if it applies to Delta price drops, or only competitive price drops. Still, worth noting. I'll keep shopping, and if I see a better price at delta OR on another site, I'll be sure to investigate it.

boo! The best part of an xkcd comic is the hovertext! give us the whole link! Though, I'll say, the hovertext in this one is...eh...but still, I had to go and find it.

ooh...would GW info be used to customize your web search results? Would SafeSearch filter your in-person purchases?

OK, I'm all about hurling vaseline mortars at people, but wouldn't water balloons make a better delivery system? Plus, then you wouldn't need the floss to tie them off!

Oranges aren't tough. If you can get the peel started (if my thumbnail doesn't work, I use my teeth), then just slide your thumb under it and loosen it, rather than peeling it back.

How many horses would Hobson have leased out if nobody took his deal? Seriously, if the horse in the first stall is lame, and nobody leases it, he has to at some point improve his product or go out of business.

I have met a few people whose iq is probably low enough for them to need protection from their own choices. But those people usually had some sort of safety net around them. We don't give people enough credit. They're either smart enough to read a privacy policy, or they're smart enough to find someone to read it to

Law should never take the place of consumer savvy. Period. Know what you're using, know what you're buying, and if you don't like the policy, vote with your feet.
