I literally just had a conversation with my dad where he expressed how “sad” it was that Duke University pulled down it’s statue of Robert E. Lee, and I responded by saying that’s a good thing. He got all mad and asked in a very harsh tone, “What do you mean?”
I’ve often wondered if there’s value in some sort of post-game update website, that specializes in dealing with the massive changes in a given video game due to updates. It’s a modern gamer issue but a relevant one because of how drastically a game can change from it’s initial launch to some later build years later.
If taxpayers footed the bill for a new highway, but it got finished and no one liked the road, they would be mad. If the gov’t kept working on that road free of charge for the next year and made it worth traveling on, should people still be mad at the unfinished work when the road was first “announced” as finished?
“look at me get the last word because a guy reiterated what his original statement was in the opening post, and despite me agreeing with that, I have to keep I have to keep being a dick to him because we’ve been arguing and must continue to argue til the end of time due to my neckbeard.” —Mossystump, 2017
Depends on the title and what you’re expecting to get out of the title. There’s a lot of games that are maximum fun only that first two or three months of release when the player base is highest.
The social aspect can’t be overstated. Games at release are at their most vibrant, and the gamers who play the game are at their best socially.
As I stated previously, I’m someone who formerly did ridesharing because I saw Uber for the corrupt company it is really quickly. I am urging other people who are in that industry to not feed into it’s blatant corruption in a way that inadvertently damages other drivers.
I am not blaming him. I am asking him not to because it feeds into a corrupt and unfair system. There’s a big difference.
Don’t forget Plants Vs. Zombies Heroes which is actually a pretty good game.
I’m informing you how it works. If you rate someone a 3, you’re a dickhead. Yes it’s a bullshit system. That’s entirely my point.
I’m informing you of how Uber works and you’re blaming me for it. Congrats on being a tool.
I... said... why not.
I don’t think you understand that the market is not free.
3 stars eventually gets you fired from the fucking service. So, yes, that person is being a dickhead.
You are missing the point. If ridesharing wasn’t a thing where you’re working for a company, and it was a truly dog-eat-dog world out there, then I mean okay I guess. The issue is you’re an employee without being an employee. Imagine if you had a workplace where there was essentially no oversight by the people who…
Well thanks for confirming you didn’t even bother to read what I originally wrote. Enjoy lashing out at people who dare challenge your nostalgia glasses.
As someone that did ride sharing to make money for awhile, PLEASE DON’T DO STUFF LIKE THIS. People start to expect you going beyond “being friendly and getting you to your destination” and start to reserve 5-star ratings only for people who go to extremes in order to try to secure that rating.
You had to actually utilize your units in 6, and their strengths and weaknesses. Endgame is the same ridiculousness in both games, so that’s not really worth talking about.
You know, last summer I replayed FF7 for the first time since middle school and I felt strongly that it has not aged all that well. I remember how much I loved the mini-games in 1997; I totally hate them in 2017. None of them are particularly fully realized, so it just felt like something else you had to quickly get…
