Didn’t BLACK PANTHER win the ensemble last year though? I thought GREEN BOOK actually got ignored outside of Ali winning for Supporting Actor.

DC Comics had purchased the Charlton Comics characters (Captain Atom, The Question, Blue Beetle, Peacemaker) back in the early 1980s and the editorial decision was made to not use them in a close-ended limited series for Moore and Gibbons. So they developed their own versions (Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach, Nite Owl,

Good discussion of the comic to movie changes that were made by Zack Snyder in the 2009 film.

Vietnam actually became a state in October 1985 in the comic book under President Nixon. There’s a headline in newspaper “Vietnam 51st State: Official!”  I think it’s in issue 1 in the background.
