It’s also worth noting that the majority of Shudder “originals” are just Shudder distributed as opposed to Netflix, which does actually produce a fair chunk of their originals.

Watch The Ritual. Especially if you love fucked up folklore based horror like Midsommer
The entire Jason Takes Manhattan fandom has spoken.
Why would he be fired? Nothing drives engagement like people getting furious that someone likes a franchise in a slightly different order than they do. Listicles rely on people being unable to handle opinions.
“I don’t want him frozen, Rowan…I want him soft”. Cronenberg really sells that walk-on role.
“Would you like to engage in sexual intercourse?”
...That said, the “ice bath” kill is pretty sweet, too.
Yeah the way they bring Jason back is ridiculous, but I like how it gets right to the point afterwards. Jason VI wastes no time giving the people what they want, and it’s one of the most entertaining Friday films as a result.
I do have a soft spot for these, but I don’t really know why; for such shamelessly trashy films, a number of them are awfully dull. I actually prefer the more shamelessly silly/gimmicky (and Glam Metal and Synth-pop soundtracked) 5th thru 8th films to the first 4 (although the third has its moments). I think Jason…
god bless Danny Devito.
It’s really hard to get genuinely outraged when outrage itself is just another commodity that gets manipulated easily for political purposes.
Can we finally add South Park to the list of overly long running adult animated shows that need to die already?
Obi Wan really shows its roots as a 2 hour movie that got kicked around and then expanded way beyond what its scope should have been.
Exorcist III is so sooo much better than Psycho II or Halloween III.
Looks like it did okay globally, mid-$200MM’s, but holy shit it’s production budget was north of $150MM? That was just asking for it.
Mad Max?
Totally did not expect much from BR2049, and was really impressed with it when I finally got around to watching it recently.
Right? The whole thing with cult movies is that they don’t have broad appeal, if they did they wouldn’t have flopped to begin with.
I was pretty shocked that the projections are that low, until I looked up Blade Runner 2049's domestic gross and found out it was only $92M. I’ve been excited for this one since the first trailer, hopefully the movie holds up. I’ll be happy to contribute to that final $40 to $85M domestic total for some original…
I’ve also not really known decent people to say things like that. They will usually admit that they’ve made mistakes or at least that they might have.
