I like Hawley and LOVE Fargo so I’m trusting him to come up with something interesting, but just the fact that it’s part of the “Alien” universe leads me to fear/believe it will not be good. That’s only because I have 35 years of history on my side, though.

They’re clearly just a fan of good Cox.

Those three are definitely the top MCU shows--and honestly Loki and Hawkeye both benefit from binging more than the weekly format.  I think I liked both more on the second watch when they ‘flowed’ better.

Right?  Some of the songs actually touch on interesting ideas (Gretchen’s song in particular adds some depth to her character) but the movie doesn’t go anywhere with those ideas.  Frustrating.

I saw an early screening of the movie earlier in the week, and the movie is as frustrating as the trailers. It’s a musical, but barely. It cuts many songs short, and omits others to wedge in scenes from the first movie. Lines that are included in songs are included as dialogue in the film.  It’s obviously ‘afraid’ of

Maybe, but it sure seemed like she would have been aware the chances of getting caught in there were pretty high, and the chances of someone getting the drop on you when you aren’t facing the only point of entry is a mistake.  After reading some of the other comments I think I’m leaning more towards ‘she wasn’t

Waitress is one of the rare cases where the musical is slightly better than the movie (and I really liked the movie).  It was a surprising choice, frankly, since comedies obviously lend themselves to musical formats much easier than dramas, but the musical really works.

I caught an early screening of this earlier this week and found it be frustrating. I’m a big fan of the first movie (who isn’t?) and I was already familiar with the music and was looking forward to seeing the numbers portrayed on screen (since I haven’t seen the play) and found myself annoyed that it was obviously

She’s genuinely great in this--incredibly expressive face when it needs to be and gets emotions across.  I also had no idea she was really missing her leg, either, until I read more about her after this (I mean, I liked her in Hawkeye but there was a lot going on in that show)

Eh, there’s a reason they didn’t get big offers for those guys over Hulk, Spider-man, X-Men, and Fantastic Four (and I feel fairly sure they’d have sold the rights to any of the characters at the time since they were desperate for money to remain a business).  Sure, people knew who they were, but mostly didn’t give a

She will be back—this was good, end ambiguously enough and the end credits scene (side note: there’s a “SKIP CREDITS” BUTTON NOW!!!) opens up some interesting new directions for the ‘ground level heroes’ to explore.

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised just because everyone expected it to be bad.  Also, side note I started this and realized I hadn’t watched Hawkeye since it came out, so I re-watched that again first and had genuinely forgotten how great that show was.  Echo is genuinely not far behind--also big ups for not feeling

Yeah that whole scene is comparable to the best fights in the Daredevil shows.  It felt iconic, hard-hitting, was cool as hell while being fun, too, and had some great artistic touches to it as well.

It’s not really network TV, though.  They show a lot of stuff on this channel (hell, pretty much any episode of The Walking Dead on this same network had 10 times the gore of this show--and that’s the human stuff, the zombies were gross all the way around)

Yeah I was mad too, but I’m starting to think the writers were showing the slight ‘shift’ in her character due to her being exhausted and maybe the character thinking she was done?

Two things:

Honestly, what you’re describing is what youtube is for these days.  There are surprisingly good channels with interesting things on them that you can just let play and get engrossed with or tune out and not feel like you’ve missed much.

yeah I love SNW and have brought lots of people to it, but one of the reasons why is literally every episode is at least good, with many great.  More episodes mean less good episodes based on literally every TV show ever made that was forced to make 20-24 episodes a season.  There were some really good TV shows back

While I think the author is insane and may want to seek professional help, I do agree that the ever shifting dynamics of current TV seasons needs some fine-tuning. Sometimes it’s the difference between streaming services—Disney in general needs to get better about figuring out what should be movies (Obi-Wan) vs what

That is exactly the movie it reminded me of as well.  I didn’t know much about it, but I always have a difficult time watching movies with zero likeable characters.  I mean, sure, he wins (?) but it didn’t exactly make me feel good for him or anyone else involved.
