Honestly if Herman's Head had been 1/10th as good as this film it would still be on the air…

There WAS an attraction called that (and I loved it, but it was pretty dated…)—it shut down in 2007.

I loved pretty much everything about this movie including the score (which I tend not to notice normally). It was pretty amazing.

I'm all for discussing it being bad on it's merits, I just don't feel you can reasonably participate in that discussion with an opinion of any worth if you've only seen 1/50th of the overall product.

No, it's fair to feel that it's bad based on a opinion. You vs the earlier-mentioned expert commentator is that he was watching his first episode ever and it happened to be the last episode of season 5. That person can fuck off, as no, whatever his commentary of that episode might be it's completely invalid based on

That court room scene alone was fan-fucking-tastic. That scene got me hooked.

Don't even. Just. Fucking. Stop. The Wire doesn't belong here. I'm sorry if it was me but whoever the fuck brought it here has to know, it's too good for this place…it's gonna make it outta this shit hole…It''s going too because I brought it up right. It knows it's above this bullshit, it's just gotta

Eh, I don't know. This is new territory for me. I never watched the one other show I can think of where each season was unrelated (American Horror Show? something like that)—was each season of that show judged against the season before, even if they were unrelated other than being horror stories? It's sort of like

Okay, but are you basing that on one episode of 50? Because if you are you're a moron. It really is that simple.

Ah yes, good ol' climate denier Michael Crichton—the guy could write one hell of a story, but man what an asshole that guy was.

Ha—didn't we have someone pop into the last expert review saying that this was the first episode of GoT they'd ever watched and found it to be ridiculous trash?

Agreed, but it's also a far cry from "everyone thinks it's terrible" too…

Yeah—there's a few of us that think this is exactly where the story is going.

I've heard so many good things about this show that I feel like I have to watch it now, and only half-dread that it's being over-hyped.

Can we move it to 10:30? I have a thing at 9:30 already…

I've heard there will be a new season, but who understands how British television works? Three episode seasons??? Where's the advertising dollars in that?

'e woz wat now mate???

I loved Fargo myself, but this is a really flawed argument, since none of it will ever be better than The Wire. I've accepted that and thus I can still watch other, lesser shows, but I'm always aware that it's there…asking me "where's Wallace?"

Ah—HBO's Summer of C-. …That might make an interesting HBO show!
