Yeah, but he was the same GUY, as were cap, Hulk, IM and the others. The details changed, but not their personalities…I mean, some were different, like Hawkeye, but the heavy hitters were all more reassertions of the classic forms than different takes.

I liked all of that Timmverse stuff. The animated JLA was great, too. All of those shows just nailed every character without ever condescending to the audience or shying away from comic book concepts.
