I did think Electronica was going to explode in '97…I went to a show at a 2500 seat place with Crystal Method, Fatboy Slim, BT, David Holmes and Propellerheads and was pretty sure I had just witnessed the wave of the future…then it all kind of fizzled.

I saw Blur in '97, not knowing anything about them aside from having heard that song…I walked out of the show a fan, and was kind of angry that that I had been forced to hear inferior post-grunge and novelty shit on American radio following the collapse of Nirvana.

To be honest, they would have done better in America if they had not admonished us to not read lyrics WHILST listening to the recordings…
