commenting to try to bump this up, all the ways McCrory is a dick should be known.

y’all means all, stupid McCrory

thank you for that!!! everyone should know how bullshit HB2 is.

*totally* feel you on that. having that conversation with my supervisor was mortifying, I cried in front of her, and declined to tell our main boss (asked my sup to do it for me). they’ve been really good about me missing days when I need to, and accommodating for doctor’s appointments and such. ut I feel guilty over

there’s too much heeby-jeeby in this for me to be ok with the verdict, no matter how much the lawsuit was frivolous, or how expensive the lawyers fees are. those people should not have to pay 700k, period.

oh true dat! I’m in LA proper and work at a museum, we actually hand out umbrellas for guests, and probably...90% of the people who take them are Asian women.

I know :/ I can handle the comments that are lawyers explaining how this shit works, but not the endless parade of people calling these victims greedy. Like, have you ever been in that position? I don’t think so. Check back after your kids are murdered and you’re paralyzed, and let me know how you react.

I know :/ it’s like “oh that doesn’t hold up in a court of law, it’s the law to do it this way, it’s practice, it’s common” blah blah blah, how about, this isn’t a court of law and you aren’t a judge? have a freaking heart. it was drilled into me growing up to empathize with others, to ‘walk a mile in their shoes’.

LA has a good contingent of athleisure wearing people, actually La may have born the entire movement. Still, my workout clothes aren’t nice enough to be considered athleisure, and I’m not rich enough for a personal trainer. So I’m an outcast from the LA norm (totally fine with this, fyi)

I hate the gym. But live in LA, where one cannot run outside because one will get hit by a car or die of smog inhalation. I have a free gym at work, and won’t go. As a result, I stopped exercising and have gained an embarrassing amount of weight since moving here (but carry it well, thanks being tall). It’s a paradox

I was raised by a single mom. You keep kicking ass, this anonymous commenter has your back.

yeah, they did an article on Ivy Park back when, not sure why it wasn’t called out here.

so funny that like 100 years ago a suntan meant you worked outside all day cause you was poor. rich people wore umbrellas and protected their lily white skin. how times change (and stay the same then change and stay the same like some Groundhog Day cycle)

I sincerely doubt Molly was looking for that from some internet commenter, hence the annoyance. Go peddle your work out plan elsewhere.

I’m starring you, because there’s cold hearted folks up and down this thread calling the victims greedy. like, how callous can you be?

wow, so easy for you and so many other commenters to judge that woman. have you heard this thing called walk a mile in their shoes? think about how you might feel if your two children were murdered and you are now paralyzed. would 30k seem reasonable to you?

would 30k be enough for you, if you lost two children and are paralyzed? would you maybe be a little ‘greedy’ then? 30k is not sufficient.

because to her, 30k isn’t enough for her suffering. she lost two children and is paralyzed, I’m sorry you think she’s being greedy.

do you think 30k is acceptable price for your child being murdered, you being paralyzed and losing your unborn child?

agreed, I’ve been mostly avoiding the fallout because I could care less about sports, but I did read up on what happened, and on Francis Scott Key and the song itself.
