The statements are pretty silly, but I will say that people tend to never get out of the payment. Finance a vehicle for 72 months and 3 years later trade it in and get a new one. The trade in value was less than the money owed, and they roll the difference into the new loan.

It probably does, but it’s about the 10 millionth example of that.

When he says outlandish things, it gets everyone talking....just like this.

This engine is actually overpowered for the application, so you’re rarely at full engine load. This means the fuel consumption isn’t as bad as you’d expect, it’s not much worse than the normal 6.2.

This isn’t about wakeboard boats actually, it’s about the development of surf boats.

Life is so easy in 2024 that getting in and out of a car is too hard.

Eh, I'm talking about an absolute down force limit. Let them make it as slippery as they can at that limit.

Don’t disagree, and they’re all so fast you can scare yourself shitless. I’m merely pointing out that this isn’t Aston redefining “entry level”, it’s them matching the competition.

The fact that no race series, F1 included, has put strain gauges on the uprights or pressure sensors under the springs and set a downforce limit is bonkers.

911 Turbo S has essentially this much power, and that’s what it’s priced against. Ferrari Roma has over 600, and is lighter. Seems like they’re just catching up to the competition.

I’m not a Durango fan, but the fact it can tow a race car moves it into a category that’s limited for competitors. I’m not into SUVs, but being able to tow heavy stuff does add a ton of value to it vs. other SUVs at that price point.

100%, Supra SMOKES the Z.

I don’t think people, even most car people, understand how expensive it is to run a car company.

This. It’s not like the deal was a one-time lump sum payment.

You’ve clearly never run any kind of large operation.

Not when your operating costs are $172B. If next year your revenue goes down by 3%, you’re in the red.

The headline is dumb. $4.3B is only a 2.4% profit. People act like they’re taking the piss, that’s a TINY profit margin. If you were operating your own business that has a revenue of $1M, you’d only make $24k.

Next time you sort by price, remember that this is what happens when you do it!

Eh, those are just the ones you see. There is a big portion of the yacht market aimed at being as discreet as possible so that when the truly wealthy want to be unnoticed, they can be. There are yachts that look like shipping boats.

The endgame for VR is to make driving unnecessary, so hopefully people like this will be in their house all day doing ready player one impressions and let the rest of us live in peace.
