Smells like a typical 'sociopath'. If I were that woman I would actually be more worried than she is.

Pardon my blabbering. Sorta kind related...well, maybe.
I agree. I think when people say this it's almost like they imply men don't want to or they can't because they are not smart enough or something, which obviously isn't the case.
Um, I would say that they may verbally state it's for "social cachet' but behind that degree is always more money. Perhaps it's both.
My comment on this is only partly related to this discussion. I just want to chime in my opinion about why women surpass men in education.
Gweneth Paltrow is awesome. She's the only one I would ever let 'fat-shame' me.
Pinot Noir AND Pino Grigio in the house!
I never thought I would say this but Denny's has gotten so bad that I would argue that it is the worst now.
*sigh* In another few lives I would love to be a fungi hunter, working in microbiology, or genetics. Love this subject specifically because I think the whole organism world is in symbiotic and not-so-symbiotic relationships with a parasite-of sorts! Fascinating!
Thank you for reminding us about 'perspective'.
I know why you said what you said. I love science but I have a hard time with the dissections, or dubious experiments even when they lead to interesting and/or useful scientific conclusions.
You are a lovely person. I love your tall, lovely self.
I would say no, but my family moved around a lot until I was in grade school and then we settled into what I would describe a mixed neighborhood (some "latino", some black, some white. I've lived mostly in eclectic and mixed neighborhoods most of my life; even my school was I would say a mixture too.
The worst thing about this story is that you overcome the whole Indian "dark-skinned" prejudice (that every says is no longer the case but like most prejudice it dies a slow death), you become a diplomat, you have -as a woman in Indian- overcome lots of obstacles to have gotten where you are and then you decide to…
I remember the first time I was profiled. I'm Mexican and so I guess some people are not used to us having money sometimes? lol I am laughing because I just made a joke but it did hurt me when it happened, I must admit.
Okay, here's another over the top story for you that actually happened (although I understand that it sounds over the top but only because she said that she was being 'harrased by more than one.'
Yeah, I totally agree. To give another example of that, when a "Mexican" is dressed as Martha Washington, no one says -why are you dressed up as a Caucasian lady? lol
Aww, thank you, darlin. Back at you! <3
Mexicana in the house and I could give crapola too. You go Lana or Gwen or whoever decides to represent. What do they say? "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Sounds good to me.
They are all magnanimous but my favorite will always be the one of the 2 girls in the canoe!
