Every little bit helps. I don’t go outside and burn coal fires because some corporation is doing it. Even just reducing humanity’s carbon footprint would allow the Earth to play catch-up. Just because you can’t change the world with one car choice doesn’t mean you can’t do something to improve the situation.

If you refuse to acknowledge the difference between 25MPG and 15MPG, over tens of thousands of miles, then you never really wanted a rational discussion in the first place, did you?

Or, you know, a hatchback, which doesn’t need weight in the back, won’t be a gas hog, won’t be as dangerous to others, won’t restrict visibility (for others as well), and is easier to maneuver.

Because our planet already has too much CO2 in the air for people to drive around in big vehicles when they don’t have to. Because for many of these people, a hatchback or wagon would better suit their needs, and hatchbacks and wagons are much cooler than pickups.

I’ve got a lot more respect for someone who drives a hatchback than someone who drives a pickup and doesn’t need it for work or off-roading.

I Can’t afford a jet ski, so I’m going to steal one from the rich kids across the tracks! I deserve it!

I can see we won’t agree on this one. I can’t imagine wanting my kid to drive a gas guzzler with poor maneuverability and visibility, one that requires him/her to drive with cement in the back of the bed, but if it works for you, go for it. Team hatch all the way, they’re cooler anyway :p

Hatchback: Storage for going off to college or moving, fwd for easier handling, good on gas for a broke student, good handling in snow.

(American): Yeah, that way if an inexperienced driver causes an accident, they kill more people!

The last time I played Destiny, I got logged off mid-story mission. I couldn’t even log back on or play at all. There’s no offline mode, even for the story?

To me it always just felt like a question of “Why the hell not?”

I actually think a gritty Federation Marine spinoff would have been far more interesting on the Wii U, with a more action feel, ala Gears of War.

It looks worse than most smartphone games. It doesn’t look much better than Metroid Prime Hunters, which proved the DS wasn’t really the place for Metroid Prime. It was a huge disappointment. Not only that, but it further dilutes the franchise with lousy games. Really, something like this would have been better on the

My expectation:

If you knew what we want, why the hell do you refuse to give it to us!? This is so far from what Metroid fans want that it generated a petition. A petition means you dun goofed. Metered players don’t want some cartoony pixelated version of Metroid Prime without Samus on a handheld device that really can’t do FPS well.

Normally, I agree, but I, like many others, have noticed more people browsing using their phones than their computers. For these people, portrait is actually better.

I’m planning a trip on it hopefully this summer, maybe in the fall. I was really disappointed to find such a low speed limit, and stories of it being well enforced.

Yup. Know what I wear? An old or oversized pair of jeans, a plain T-Shirt, usually an unflattering unisex one I don’t care about, an older pair of converse sneakers, and sometimes gloves. When my hair was short, I probably looked like a guy from more than 50 feet away.

At that speed, it’s better to drive with the rudder, which as any pilot can tell you, is controlled by the feet.

For some hilarious perspective, the 2012 Toyota Prius V does 0-60 in 10.2 seconds, and has a quarter mile time of 17.8 seconds. It’s trap speed is 78mph, a perfectly normal highway speed.
