I think the iPhone 3GS beats out the HTC Status... At least with the iPhone 3GS, you're getting iOS 5, rather than an old version of Android and a phone that won't be updated.

I'd recommend a Gym Membership.
A FWD or AWD vehicle is much nicer in the snow. The weight of the engine gives better traction to the drivers wheels than the empty trunk in the back.
