I think TV these days is much more diverse: Scandal, How To Get Away With Murder, Orange Is The New Black, Empire, Luther, Jessica Jones, Master of None, Black-ish, Grey’s Anatomy, Jane the Virgin, The Knick. Movies are worse than ever though.
