Does it hurt the pro gamer more than it helps the new gamer? Let them have their fun. Give an accessibility setting to turn it off and call it a day.

If it’s a 1:1 mobile port that sells for $40? Send it. That’s sick. Just like the RE4 REmake on iPhone. I won’t buy it, but there’s an audience that will, and that’s cool.
No they won’t. You don’t get that deep without convincing yourself you are justified and everyone else wronged you.
100% agreed. I feel like New Order was better in that regard. It rewarded me for being stealthy, whereas New Colossus felt more bombastic, which I didn’t really care for. I have Doom and Doom Eternal for that.
Which in turn means they’re probably leap-frogging. We are going to get a TLOU Part III announcement after Season 2 wraps.
The broscience of someone who has never stepped foot in a gym or adhered to a strict fitness regimen.
Now that you say it, I actually think that formula could work. Take out Nazi Commanders while sneaking through a tomb or something.
That’s my main gripe. The gameplay is there. I’d be devout if they would just treat the game as a standalone. They could add skins, cosmetics, a battle pass, I don’t care. But what I don’t want is to deal with a shitty “hub” that is not intuitive, spits garbage at me incessantly, and has been grilled for its UI since…
Precisely. Hellblade stood because it was jaw-dropping, but unremarkable otherwise. This isn’t a console-carrier. I put it in my own comment, but I don’t think we will genuinely see competition until Elder Scrolls VI, DOOM, and Wolfenstein are next-gen titles.
I clicked this thinking that the title was plural for obvious reasons. Xbox is really struggling, even with the purchased first party titles. I don’t think we’ll see competition until the next generation. Elders Scrolls VI is almost certainly a next-gen launch title.
It’s definitely much harder than the original. As someone that has the OG memorized start to finish, the remake circumvents all of your pre-existing knowledge by modifying the environments and punishing you if you try to use any of the old cheesy exploits. It has made everything feel so fresh, and I’m glad it is more…
You heard it same as I did. I think you’re correct.
E3 was always like the Super Bowl of announcements. Sad to see it go, honestly. I understand why due to the internet, but it was always nice to see these companies show up with all the pomp and circumstance.
Now I feel stupid because I didn’t understand the significance of that scene! Thought it was just being artsy fartsy with the lighting. I do twitchy shit all the time cause I’m anxious/restless. Time for a rewatch!
I’ve been waiting for video game movies to become the new superhero movies. I think with Amazon producing a Fallout and God of War series, we might be crossing into that territory. I think games fit the television medium way better than they ever could do with a feature film.
I really enjoyed the changes made. Sarah was fantastic, and the scene where the woman in the wheelchair is showing early signs of infection behind her was genuinely spooky. The scenes with the dog were both fantastic. The Clickers’ little mouth-hair-fungi thingies are terrifying.
One one hand, I think people kind of feel like Sony had it coming due to Spider-Man, Bloodborne, Demon’s Souls, God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us...I could go on. But Sony has curated those studios and IPs over a long course of time. The relationship with their first-party and second-party studios has been pretty…
CoD actually has a lot of little timed exclusivities on PlayStation. Not to mention when Sony currently dominates the console space, people are picking it up for their console. Plain and simple. There’s a reason Microsoft have shifted away from hardware to a Netflix model and simultaneous day one releases on Steam.
Seems more to me that Mazin is claiming The Last of Us is the greatest video game story ever told. Sure--it’s opinion, but I don’t think it’s that hot of a take. Plenty of people would agree with that sentiment.
I buy almost every Sony exclusive day one. They are that good. But to see them tremble at the thought of Microsoft making CoD a platform exclusive is a bit hypocritical. They’re getting a taste of their own medicine.
