Me too, it’s like I’ve discovered some massive secret even though it’s completely pointless, not really secret, and not massive.

You remember it slightly wrong: Froome’s bike was broken in a crash caused by the crowd suddenly blocking the TV motorbike ahead of the riders. The crowds were extra large because the finish line had been moved to a few KM earlier in the climb the day of due to high winds which is why race organizers ended up negating…
The debate on whether he would have gained or lost time on the rest of the stage just makes the outcome sadder: there’s no real closure because we’ll never know for sure.
I don’t think so. If everybody doubled the amount of levels they had, you’d still have an equal chance of having your level randomly selected. For example, if everybody could upload 1 level and there were 10 people, you’d have a 1 in 10 chance or 10% of having your level randomly selected. Double the amount of levels…
Unless the server update also doubled the amount of livestreamers.
If you’re actually spending time making and testing each level, no, 128 levels should be more than enough.
I’m sort of mixed on this. On one hand, I generally always wait until a team is filled then sigh as I’m left as support or a tank in every single match often solo. I don’t mind doing these things, but I don’t mind the chance to say “Just give me damage this once, please” or getting incentives to play the roles I…
From what I’ve read, “custom splatfests” just means you can select Splatfest Turf War as a game mode in private matches. In other words, it’s a night mode toggle.
I read an article saying the closest hotels are already booked solid for the dates around the event now so sadly it sounds like at least a few people are driving out there to do something.
It’s been a while since I’ve participated in a Splatfest, but I’ll be going for Team Order this weekend. I’ve never been a fan of the post-apocalyptic Mad Max style vibe of Team Chaos.
The benefit of picking Luigi isn’t physical, it’s psychological. Your heart is filled with joy when you pick Luigi and thus you play better.
This legitimately may be my favorite new feature in Super Mario Maker 2. It’s amazing how much more professional a level can feel when the screen stops scrolling where you want it to.
I disagree to an extent because anything can be digested in shorter chunks. You can make an 8 hour game still with 20 minute missions or whatever. It doesn’t mean the whole game has to be short. VR games are short right now more because of budgetary reasons which sort of makes a catch 22 where people want bigger…
I’m glad that Oculus has been funding some more AAAish looking games, but still worried about how the end products will turn out. They were pushing Defector as a major release before going quiet and then coming back with “Surprise, it’s $20 and 4 hours long!” I haven’t played it yet, but the reviews even on VR sites…
There are bluetooth connection issues with launch joy cons and the Switch, but this is a separate issue that supposedly has to do with the way the sticks are constructed. This issue happens in handheld mode as well from what I’ve read (haven’t had it happen to me) while the bluetooth issues don’t occur there.
I was having a hard time describing what was off about the Qdoba Impossible meat and you nailed it: it tasted more like roast beef (which isn’t right for a taco place anyways) with a hint of cat food.
When you drop Bowser into lava in the first world castle of New Super Mario Bros. (the original DS version), he watches Bowser struggle in the lava and his skin melt off leaving behind only bones and just says “THAT’S-A SO NICE” when it’s over so yeah, he’s messed up.
I much prefer there being no message boxes because first of all it forces the creator to tell a story entirely through visuals and second means there’s no glut of levels that can only be beaten by reading messages that may be in another language you don’t understand.
Insisting it were Gwazi would have made things worse. I think it opened in 1999.
This argument was like in 2001. We were both like 10 at the time so it’s not like kids are reasonable, but in a way it almost makes it worse because Animal Kingdom was still kind of new.
