I'd guess that they did market research ahead of time to know people would average less than $10 of material cost. But, they obviously didn't think of how it sucks for the server, and how this is why they can't keep people for long, so who knows if they even bothered to really research it?

I've never understood the way we train soldiers. They should be put to work doing entry level jobs first while getting their fitness levels up. Then they can do the basic training. Anyone who can't pass the test stays non-combat and keeps working until he or she does.

But in the end, most people are just average people with average flaws, doing their best at a way, way less tougher job. People in the armed forces deserve kudos for being willing to take the job. Most professions aren't that way.
