Jesus, did you seriously just encourage people to look them up personally and confront them?

I don't understand what he would have gotten angry about. It sounds like she just thought he didn't know and was polite. Of course, you always have to keep a grain of salt handy when you don't have the full conversation.
That's not close to a good excuse. You thought she was joking when she said that she didn't say abortion and ran with it? AND you hadn't watched to show so that you'd know it was discussed? AND you didn't bother to check NBC's site? AND nobody else mentioned how tenuous your grip on this situation was? Jeez.
The problem is that this storyline has passed by. Under 25 means they likely graduated during the recovery. The student loan system hit the 25-30 year olds the hardest because they graduated into the recession.
It doesn't take Nostradamus. Obama, Clinton, Carter, LBJ, Kennedy, Truman, Woodrow Wilson, and Lincoln were all moderates. Only FDR was a real liberal in office, and he came in due to the Depression causing the incumbents to have their worse election ever. The liberal base is only about 40% of the Dems, as compared to…
She called him a gangster- this is her talking about their breakup over the phone. She didn't use a racial slur...she's basically saying that calling a black man a thug is the worst thing short of a racial slur. It's an acknowledgement that she was out of line to a guy when they broke up, though not to the point of…
Tig can't. Not a chance. I love her, but that's the opposite of what she does well. Plus, who wants Tig Notaro hemmed in like that? They'd ruin her uniqueness.
He was the head of E! then, and they started going out after the show was on the air and a hit (which was after she had her own show and after she was the break out from "Girls Behaving Badly and appearing all over the talking head comedy shows).
Of course they can. But someone can also say "Congrats Lupita. everybody buy my book with an African title" and not have it come from deep dark recesses of racism that is their secret true feelings. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it's very rare that one comment shows more about a person than a decade of action.…
Yes, which means it's going to be hard for this not to be a home run for Netflix. You can get two weeks of her talk show for the cost of an episode of Top Of The Lake. Her cumulative numbers will be higher than anything they've had on instant.
That was my first thought, but then I realized what Erin was criticizing is what makes his opinion okay. He runs an image consulting business. This is exactly what his company does. It's based on market research and surveys. He actually addresses some of the things Erin is criticizing and people have brought up in the…
Holy shit. He's going to tear a hammie stretching like that.
I'd like to ask about that. It happens a lot where someone will do a google search and come up with information the writer doesn't have.
With the combination of being set up by Oprah, the biggest shill for "magic" of all kinds that there is. She did more damage when it comes to weight loss over two decades than Dr Oz could ever hope to do.
"If she was so ineffective in instilling her "world view" over the first 17 years of her daughter's life that a private 5 minute conversation with a nurse can undo everything, then that is not the state's problem; it's the parent's."
I can counter with my own anecdote. I know someone that is close to Michael Patrick King. He was brought in to take her idea and flesh it out because she had multiple networks bidding on multiple projects. She put together the idea and treatment before hooking up with him.
Crap...I just answered someone else, but you said it better in way fewer words. That's what they were trying to say. Don't solve a problem because it feels like an interrogation to the victim.
I was the only guy there, so I never saw what guys were doing wrong firsthand. I was peripheral to some extent too...the actual facility was all women. I just had to be trained for short meetings about their finances. But I'd pretty much always end up hearing how they got there, because they were in that zone of…
Subsidies is the key. The problem has been a shift in how governments give colleges money. In the past, interest rates were high and direct subsidies to colleges kept tuition prices low. The more that rates have lowered, the more that has shifted to subsidizing debt, which puts upward pressure on tuition.
That's a good way to put it.
