How many people have to say something isn't being talked about before we all admit it is?

Your argument makes perfect sense, and IMO, you're being misunderstood.

The one thing I've never seen is a study about disbursement. I know building a stadium in the same place as the old one never increases revenue. But can a suburb like Marietta improve their economic outlook at the expense the City of Atlanta, or do they still lose shitloads of money?

You mean like the man who flew to Detroit and tried to set off the bomb in his underwear?

Or even more modern- it's the exact same thing as Republicans trying to blame violent video games for these mass shootings.

Only if the alternatives actually provide relief through protection and counseling. This alternative has proven to be a soul-destroying experience for the victims as well, because structurally it doesn't offer much protection for victims or potential victims.

Those are all reasons to fix the criminal justice system, not to avoid it. The complaint people have is when the police are bypassed entirely or not brought in until after a college has investigated, not that people might get investigated by both.

I'd like to do that because, while I know women are telling the truth and it wouldn't be as bad, it would at least give me an idea of what it is like.

I feel like you're missing the ACLU's point and what makes this law Unconstitutional.

It may or may not be though. There were numerous shootings and murders across the country over the weekend. There were multiple shootings in crowded streets in Myrtle Beach. Chicago, Detroit, etc...shootings took place in a few places. So to take one shooting from the pile and assume a nationwide connection is a

Just wanted to chime in to say how cool it is to see someone listen and re-check an opinion like you just did. Most people would double down instead of admitting they misread the situation.

In case anyone else was curious and doesn't feel like looking up this big confrontation, nofancy picture replied to a post from Vanessakeepslosingherburners by saying she had already mentioned someting Vanessa brought up in a post. Vanessa said "no, you edited that in after my comment."

It's even worse of a discrepancy. Men are about four times as likely to commit suicide despite women attempting it more.

I think this phenomenon is as much made up as real. First, everybody thinks they're entitled to love. That's reinforced everyday by stories of true love and soul mates, and everything being according to a divine plan, etc. It's tough to be a guy too scared to ask women out or to be a woman who doesn't get asked out

Isn't the headline space done by how many clicks each article is getting?

If the sum total comes out even, it doesn't matter how it splits along tradition. If non-traditional families result in more women working, it's offset by traditional families where the man works more. That's not a bad thing at all. It means things are getting better for women. But it also means there's no real way to

That's good for the direct issue of getting past excuses, but I feel like I need to point out there is no gender imbalance when it comes to total hours worked. Women work more, and are stressed more, at home. Men work more at the office and are stressed more there.

It's because she can veer perilously to self-parody at times. This article could have been a good one about how we all view information with a confirmation bias. It's been shown in study after study that all of us have confirmation biases. She ignored that scientific evidence in favor of a false equivalency between

I was all set to enjoy a silly commercial, and then some mean old mommy ruined the fun.

"That's probably because the division of housework is still imbalanced in many families, with women taking on more chores than men. Men leave work and go home. Women leave work and go home to work some more."
