As interesting as that is, how can we trust someone that doesn't own a TV?

Yet there's no self reflection to see that Jezebel is right there with conservatives in inflating the issue according to most of the public. The 20-25% on the extremes includes the liberal position of trying to expand abortion rights whenever the Dems have a majority, and lumping any restrictions together as if they

All this is a lovely sentiment, and I'd love for my votes to count for once. But the GOP has a supermajority in the house, is 18-12 in the Senate, and is still very solidly red throughout (as I'm sure you know when you fill out all of those Republican vs Libertarian local races...or leave them blank like I do).

Hey Slugger, since you hate her soooo much how about you emulate a banana and split?

Maybe she'll be the new Maxine, the Queen of Crabbiness.

"And, on Sunday, like clockwork, a Dallas paper ran a barbecued garbage "expose" that slammed her for being a bad mother. Texas-style sexism really sticks to the ribs, doesn't it?"

Also, Chet Haze is 23 and didn't make 52 million last year, so isn't he saying that his own opinion doesn't count either?

The Dallas Morning News piece isn't quite the hatchet job Erin is claiming. It's clearly sourced originally from the Abbott camp, but they did extensive interviews with Davis, her ex-husband, and others. They correctly say that she blurred lines in her narrative.

Yeah, it's really that I carry too much crap in my pockets. I keep my business card holder in that pocket to avoid accidentally folding the cards. I have to reserve the offhand front pocket for the phone, as I don't want it scratched, and keys, change, and Altoids go in the dominant hand front pocket...unless I have

I'm not criticizing your husband, because it is nice to have a hanky available for other people.

It's difficult to discern because politeness has degrees. Your polite example is direct and doesn't use qualifiers. The source article is somewhat confusing (to me) because she starts by saying that qualifiers may seem polite but usually aren't, but then undercuts that by going into a more ephemeral argument about

She was obviously punished though. She was in the group picture, and then before her solo pic somebody yanked her eyeballs out!

Yeah, she did point out that there's things women learn as mothers and daughters. The context I got is that she just didn't use nature correctly.

I wouldn't be surprised if Deadspin did that. But I'd assume doing it would come with a lot of heat from Gawker Media higher ups. If it were a story on Gawker itself, the issue likely wouldn't be brought up until enough commenters complained, then it would be defended to the hilt.

Sorry, I was thinking actors and actresses, but I didn't say it that way.

Very true, though I question whether the same people who support her getting fired would support a conservative company firing someone for appearing in a liberal candidate's ad.

Actually, that's something Doug made up. If you want to know why people complain about Doug, this is a good example.

I agree, but the reporting still needed more empathy. But then, I think that's pretty ingrained in the current media world. Nobody, even victims, gets much empathy in the cutthroat, get-it-first media.

I can't believe it didn't occur to me, but was the whole thing fake?

Oh man...that part where she almost falls over! Awesome.
