Me too. And who cares if a woman saying it is more acceptable than a man saying something similar to a woman. Guys are creepier than women as a whole. I assume it's because we don't have to fear her forcing herself on us. Anytime I've been creeped out by a woman being too dirty, they've always stopped instead of

I wish my cats were more aloof. Between them and my dog, there's always some animal following me around and trying to take my attention away from the computer, work, cleaning, etc. And then at night they all take turns demanding attention while I'm watching TV.

I was actually just thinking of something. Ever notice, even when it's a picture of someone in a hijab covered head to toe, the pictures in the media always manage to still be of someone with beautiful eyes?

3 of the best long cons in the history of man! ;)

That phenomenon has happened quite a bit. Chris Rock's chunk about there being two kinds of black people was taken seriously by racists. Stephen Colbert was misunderstood by some conservatives when his show started (how, I have no idea).

I live right down the street from one as well, which is right across from a non-denominational church that pickets. But it's weird, because they usually only have one or two protestors, and most of the time they don't have signs. Plus there's no signage on the pregnancy center. So it just looks like a couple of people

She buried the lead..."Scalia is an immortal, squealing pig-demon who feels naught but agony."

No...in fact, of the 47 people admitted to the University of Texas with lesser scores than her, 42 were white. Whoops.

I'll do this one more time. I know the definition of a balance fallacy. You don't understand how to apply that definition. Someone saying both sides are equal is not a fallacy because you disagree. It's only a balance fallacy if both sides are presented as equal when one side has a preponderance of evidence showing

Again, the balance fallacy (or both sides fallacy as you're calling it) can only be happening if one side has empirical evidence as the basis of its argument. Since, as you said, the question of when life begins is emotional rather than factual, I could not be using a balance fallacy if I tried.

You gave a fuck, which is why you accused me of a fallacy you didn't understand while also claiming I said both sides were equal, something I never did.

It's not a balance fallacy. A balance fallacy is something like global warming where there's an abundance of facts presented in a balanced way with pseudo facts and emotional arguments. Abortion can't have that because there's no specific factual basis for either side as to when life begins.

I agree with you personally, but I think we also have to acknowledge that to the people who think it's murder, it's never going to be a choice.

I knew someone that worked with Rachel Ray for a few years. She had nothing but good things to say about her. Then again, Rachel Ray was never a chef or noted for creativity, just her ability to organize and make 30 minute meals.

Ugh.

Fuck them. Pretty soon, you'll be their boss, because you're spending money on bettering your self while they spend it on new rags. Hope they enjoy the new clothes and debt while you're vacationing at your lake house!

I'm putting this here in hopes that my being perennially grey won't keep it from being read....

The problem with this argument is that it simply isn't a choice to the people that are pro-life. It's murder, which negates the choice to allow it.

Yes, it's terrible in East Texas, specifically that area. We used to play those schools in sports back in the 80's (I'm old!). For some reason, we were considered a "black" school even though we were only 25% black (and maybe 50% in sports). I'll never forget seeing the KKK come to a football game in Sante Fe, Tx. Of

Great rebuttal! This is shoddy reporting by the WSJ and by Doug for not putting any effort into researching any further (I found another study and the one you posted in two minutes of googling). The main point is not supported by studies, and the accusations and speculation are absolutely terrible.
