Now that you mention it, you are right.

Actually, how awesome would a series - any series - be if one of the rules of the story was that weapons of any significance were irrelevant due to whatever plot handwaviness.

Yep. The most depressing thing about Trump being elected was discovering how many of these people there actually are out there. I lost only a couple of not-close friends but several family members, who are on my no-interaction list for life.

You bought this car, didntcha?

Believe it or not, I rarely heard riffs on their own entitlement except to decry affirmative action for people of color as ‘reverse racism’. Those I knew were fine with their station in life, and believed what you just said - but the obstacles facing the non-white population were either nonexistent, invisible or

Cheap gas and tobacco and shitty roads?

I take your point.

I saw two approaches:

I remember seeing these a a kid and thinking the ships were really cool - totally not aerodynamic because space! Today, they are still cool because I see stuff that I tell myself was an influence on the artist - the rightmost one looks like a fish or Tardigrade.

Harlan Ellison wrote an adaptation of I Robot in the 1970’s that was never made but was published as an illustrated screenplay a few years back. Art by Mark Zug. Well worth the price and with a few minor updates, holds up well. An excellent 1-film adaptation of the story collection.

Same. I dreaded re-reading Bradbury out of fear of this, but he holds up. His Mars is so way out there, it holds up really well today.

I commented above on this - show some of the chaos that is destroying the empire to illustrate what is being discussed by the Talking Heads. Adds drama and scope without losing the intellectual intrigue side of the story.

If you need set pieces, you could use ‘slice of life’ violent episodes to show how things were breaking down interspersed with the Room Full Of Smart Talkers to emphasize the threats and danger, and consequences of failure.

I remember the books being more crafty than violent - the Mule going to great lengths to conceal himself to weed out the threat he saw, being the main bit. I do not recall a single gunfight, but I read them 30 years ago so...

I sincerely wish you all the luck in the world on that endeavor.

Were I running a streaming site and making a profit while providing good, moderated services to my customers and keeping both content creators and consumers happy, I would be thrilled.

You think they will make that connection?

It is weird that *this* murder at *this* time had some kind of larger effect, assuming it has actually had a larger effect. It looks different to me, but Ill believe it when I see it and black America sees it.

Fair point.

The guy they threw out of Blink-182 because he was doing too much coke.
