It almost sounds like the removal of the tracking device is basically a legalized form of entrapment - we don’t like you, so we put a device on your car, and if you remove it or it stops working, we have probable cause to turn you over.

If it’s affixed to my vehicle, its fair game. It’s not like it was some random object found on the side of the road. Although, that’s exactly where it would end up.
