I agree with all the other commenters that this is a sad and bizarre case but what puzzles me is this; If you were planning a murder why would you do so in Bali of all places? Indonesian authorities aren’t exactly known as being kind to a) foreigners or b) murderers.

She contradicts everything that has previously been written about this case. There are texts that indicate she and her boyfriend planned the murder. Their relationship was complicated alright - but don’t believe she wasn’t involved in her mother’s death.

Was this interview before or after they published the text messages between Mack, Schaefer, and Schaefer’s cousin in which they detail their plans to kill von Wiese-Mack? Those were released last week, as far as I know.

My favorite episodes are when they eat stuff because it seems so unnatural, like they’re from an entirely different planet, where they don’t eat food, and their mouths chew like they’re trying to approximate human behavior.
