Oh god, how awful! Thank goodness you could afford their treatment.

Same as you re the luck. But thankfully, not paying the same prices for surgery. I didn't have insurance for my dog when she needed two lots of surgery on both eyes [for abscesses] but that plus aftercare [five days in hospital] cost $680USD [400 quid]. Cost was no object, but I was glad I wasn't paying 'stupid money'

Ouch.

*Gulp* That seems ... excessive. I mean, I'd spend it for SURE — my dogs are very important to me — but yeah. Wow.

No worries. I asked someone further up the thread [4K per eye]. Cheers.

Awww that's great. PS. Where my pets are concerned, cost is no object. I'd move mountains for them. But may I ask how much the surgery set you back? Thanks.

Is it really 'tens of thousands' of dollars? Serious question.

How d'ya feel about THAT now? ;-)

But it didn't. ;-)

Home town reffing, babes. It's The Way Things Are. *Sigh*

Yeah, it felt like it. A bit. But only 'coz I'm an Aussie. That Tim Cahill goal was *JUST* not allowable, but we fought back and showed our mettle. Nowhere near as bad as 2006 and that shit penalty Italy garnered. We did ourselves proud. Not the 8-0 drubbing predicted at any rate.

SO fucking proud of Oz last night/this AM. I know we won't get out of the group unless there's a mass serve of food poisoning to the other squads, but jeez, we did well. And it was a great match to watch. Despite the 5-1 drubbing the orange people put over Spain, THIS was the more exciting match to watch. I reckon. :)

Exactly. :-)

Yep: it's called 'soccer' in Australia as well. Usually.

This is true. Even my pommy husband agrees that 'soccer' is a more legitimate name for the game than 'football'. Not that he calls it 'soccer', mind: he just agrees. :)

Ditto, except for me: it's rugby. :)

Aw, thanks for that. :-)

Sorry ... um ... the 'chewing out'? Seriously? 10-year-old kids, whose hand-eye coordination and skill sets are just starting to be formed, are getting chewed out by the coach? That's really depressing. :(

Ha ha! Not in this pic, no. I was just one of the 'townspeople' [boring!] and really only did the big 'group' numbers — 76 Trombones etc ... I'm kinda scared to post one of those because then people would know what I looked like. I'm such an old-and-scared that I worry posting personal photos on the interweb might

Heh. I was in 'The Music Man' with Hugh back in the day [1983]. Of course, he was only one of the 'travelling salesmen', but he still shone [from memory!].
