I feel like the payroll number should have more of an exponentially scaled value. Is the 2nd $100m the Dodgers spent on top of the Cardinals first $100m really the same? Absolutely not. $100m is pretty common nowadays. $240m, though? I mean, seriously? That extra $100m should be worth like 3 points on this scale.

Jesus Christ, if this is how they're sending him off from his career when he's still alive, WHAT ARE THEY GONNA DO WHEN HE DIES???

I also agree. I bought a 12 pack of this a year or two ago when it was first released. I enjoyed it well enough, but I haven't had one since.

You probably would have just heard the sounds of headphones being dropped on the desk and an old angry man attempting (and failing) to get up out of his rolling chair.

Disregard

That Seahawks TD wasn't a TD. Percy Harvin stepped out clearly stepped out and yet the officials failed to overturn it.

He scrambles AND just sorta lobs a soft throw. Gotta give those defenders as much time as possible to crack his receivers at their most vulnerable moments.

This is precisely what I was trying to say yesterday in a few random posts around here. People kept saying Fiers acted out of order when challenged by the Florida dugout, that he came off as a psychopath or something. Far from it. He just destroyed a guy's face completely unintentionally. For any non-sociopath, that

I don't know where people are getting this idea that a ball striking the batter on the swing is a foul ball. That is absolutely not true. If you swing at a ball that hits you, and that ball doesn't hit the bat, then it's a strike. You no longer get the benefit of a dead ball call, nor is it a foul ball because it

Those announcers have no idea what they're talking about. Reed's bat obviously broke the front plane of the plate and the ball did not hit the bat. That's strike 3.

This reminds me much more of Star Trek Armada rather than Homeworld... which isn't a bad thing, since Armada was actually a pretty fun game. It just wasn't as majestic as Homeworld was. This doesn't look like it will be, either, but that doesn't mean it won't be fun.

He's gotta be one of the more nondescript pitchers in the last few decades to accomplish anything of note. I mean, he's been around forever and has never been anything special, and now he has this record and the near-perfect game to impress the ladies... wtf?

Recovery for ACL injuries are really tricky in the professional sports world. Especially lately. The nature of our anatomy means that everyone's recovery is different. Some guys come back incredibly quickly... They might not suffer the same kind of muscle atrophy in their repaired leg as others do, meaning that when

This looks exactly like something a mid 90s TV show would have designed as an example of an attack boat from the 21st century.... say, on Seaquest or something.

Ugh, just give us a new legit RTS already.

This is exciting. I loved Act of War and was pretty sad when Windows evolved beyond compatibility with the original game. Even if this was just a remake with updated graphics I'd be pretty excited. Looking forward to finding out more.

I'm not even sure what caused all this, but due to his stupid t-shirt that may or may not feature a word resembling "afflicted" my immediate presumption is that the driver is a total dickface.

I had never seen that first game trailer. That was freaking bad ass.

Poor Ryan Klesko looks so sad he has to be sitting next to Rocker.

Judging from how he's holding his bat, all he probably took was pitches. Definitely doesn't look like he knew hot to take any swings...
