Yeah, I’m sure the 24 year old personal trainer/model/influencer who taught the class holds deep knowledge about Hindu Yogic traditions and it’s not just window dressing marketing.

I have no idea what conflict is being talked about here beyond what was written in the above article, but it seems strange for an article in Jezebel to start off by complaining that a criticism waged by another woman about a website criticizing women (even if limited to their fashion choices) shouldn’t exist b/c WOMEN

As long as you vote for him if he wins the nomination, fight hard for whomever you like best, BUT if people purity test him and we get 4 more fucking years of Trump I am giving up on my fellow liberals as asshole children who deserve the horrible lives they will have created for themselves.

But in the US, perhaps due to oddities of our culture, it’s a more passive-aggressive form of racism where they just talk about “those people” and make sure their kids don’t go to the same schools or live in the same neighborhoods and vote for politicians who know what dogwhistles to use.

In the U.S. it’s also redlining, and the crack epidemic, and the Ku Klux Klan, and the response to Hurricane Katrina, and COINTELPRO, and cops murdering black people without consequence, so...really nothing passive-aggressive about that.

THANK YOU. I was hoping someone would write this article. That herbalist mf didn’t die under mysterious circumstances - he died at 82 from pneumonia which kills people younger than that all the time. He did not cure a single person with AIDS. First of all, he wasn’t an MD, DO, or PhD so he wasn’t a doctor. Secondly,

I’d rather they build this mall for the 1% then have these “luxury” brands kill another neighborhood. See Bleecker St. corporations (and the real estate market) destroyed the west village.

God damn. Every commenter excusing this shit with "it was a long time ago," "everybody's done it," "it wasn't wrong back then," "they're not racist, they're good people," "we've all done similar things,": You're so close. It's almost like racism is systemic.

If I make a joke about cancer, and find out someone at the dinner party just got diagnosed... I don’t respond “Fuck you, it was just a joke”. I say “Jesus, I had no idea. I’m sorry I was such an asshole.”

Prejudice and racism are different. To our detriment, the words are used interchangably.

The only people losing their minds over that video are people who have clearly either never heard of Jill Scott or never really listened to her. She’s been singing about nasty sex acts for years. Stop being so uptight and prudish people. Sexy R&B is meant to be sexy.

Talking over trans commenters, indeed. Who are talking over the trans person who the movie is about, who agreed with the choice of actor. Who gets the moral high ground - internet commenter or person who inspired the story?

... Music??? Icon????

Shes wearing a bad wig, but otherwise she has unblemished skin, and white teeth. Plus pic is a bad angle, but its also a mugshot. My point is they both look like regular people but given what the article is about, you and OP are reaching for something only a therapist could help you grasp.

Interesting that you called her ‘beastly’ and him ‘handsome’ because I think they’re equally matched looks-wise. But then I don’t make a habit of de-humanizing Black women.

In response to a commenter saying she looks “beastly”:

There aren’t a lot of jewish people working in Hollywood.

This show is that guy who all my friends insist I really ought to let them set me up with because we are perfect for one another but then when I go to dinner he tells a series of obviously rehearsed stories designed to make me think he is quirky but are actually thinly-veiled humblebrags that show off how sure he is

Why don’t depressed people just stop being sad?

Why don’t people in a flood find a boat?

Why don’t people who live in intentionally zoned areas of income disparity just buy their food?

Your logic is pretty much the liquor store fallacy. More of those don’t exist because people would rather spend their money there. When

Before anything, I want to first give a round of applause to all the spam accounts plastering their advertisements for “healers” in this thread for trying so hard. One of them even replied to their own comment with the same advertisement; I got a good laugh out of that one.
