I think that depends on your seating position. I can understand why the gauges might work for you, but for me, it’s completely blocked by my hands/the wheel. Almost entirely useless. Also, with how much play/vagueness there is in the shifter, I love the HUD so I can be sure of what gear I’m downshifting into, haha.

It depends what mode you’re in. In green and mid, it shows your speed, direction and a minimalized version of the navigation (if you’re using it), radio dial, and I’m sure some other stuff when applicable.

Did the JCW you had have the heads-up display? I never look at my tach or my speedo, the heads-up tells me all I need to know.

Also: that Fisher-Price interior can be customized away, too, for a price. I’ve got nice brown leather seats (still bolstered and comfortable as hell) and real wood on the dash :)
