Not a problem - I don't really care for nuts.

That really really bothered me too.

To be fair, I was really only half serious.

Agreed!

All my experiences tell me that this is indeed true.

Well, that really depends on who you ask. Objectively, yes. All three languages have enough in common to be considered mutually intelligible, but that doesn't mean we all understand each other perfectly.

Well, I can't really argue with you on that one, this guy is mos def not from Stockholm. I'm leaning towards Gothenburg or that other area that I like to call "the middle of Sweden". He might be from there.

Thanks for the article, it's an interesting read!

Thanks for the info!

A lot of people apparently think he sounds Norwegian, so your friends might have a point. I'm thinking maybe this comes down to a question of dialect? When I heard the Swedish chef my thoughts didn't really go to a young person living in Stockholm, but rather to people like my dad (who is from Gothenburg). Also,

Nooo, please say it ain't so! I was having an epiphany here.

Well, who wouldn't? I bet that's why Tracy Jordan got the G in his EGOT.

Oh, wow, has she realized yet what she's done? Literally EVERYONE she meets is going to think and/or say something about the fact that she's a Swedish chef. She will never hear the end of it! Especially if the Muppets are as popular in the US as they appear to be.

And for that, you are welcome.

WHAT IN THE NAME OF EVERYTHING HOLY IS THIS.

Okay, so I've never really watched the muppets, I don't think (maybe it's not as popular here in Sweden? please don't hate me), but I just wanted to say how inexplicably happy I am about the fact that they really NAILED his faux swedish.

Yes, please break it down for us!

Why thank you! It is my favorite thing ever, too. I love how they don't make a big thing out of it, it's just THERE and then it's gone.
